The food and service were great. Crab cakes , crab claws, calamari and pork chops were perfect.
Great restaurant, Amanda was a wonderful server. She had delicious recommendations. The calamari was too salty but cooked good and the sauce with it was so tasty. Loved the chicken schwarma and lobster ravioli. Decor was beautiful and enjoyed the overall experience. We will be back.
I made reservations thinking this was a nice restaurant. It is not! The website was completely misleading. Food tasted like it was reheated, and the drinks tasted like cough syrup. Will never go back!
Salt delivered on every level. I started with a perfectly made dirty martini, and those blue cheese-stuffed olives were a standout. For dinner, I had the lamb lollipops, and they were tender, flavorful, and beautifully plated. We shared the charcuterie board, which was not only high quality but also had gluten-free crackers, a detail I really appreciated. It’s rare to find a restaurant that offers such great gluten-free options without compromising flavor or presentation. Service was top-notch, the atmosphere was relaxed yet upscale, and I left genuinely impressed. Salt is far more than a hotel restaurant. It’s a restaurant this Pensacola local looks forward to visiting again and again.
Looking for an elevated dining experience on Pensacola Beach? Look no further than Salt, inside the Hilton. As a Pensacola local, we have many fantastic dining options, but Salt truly blew me away. The crab claws were, without question, the best I’ve ever had, perfectly seasoned and infused with unforgettable flavor. We started with a luscious charcuterie board, featuring a thoughtfully curated selection of upscale cheeses, meats, and crackers. It was the perfect size to share, and I was impressed by the gluten-free options available for my husband. Every dish at our table was presented beautifully, elevating the entire experience. The cocktails were delicious. Amanda, our server, was exceptional. From start to finish, the service and food were top-tier. Salt is far from your typical “hotel restaurant.” It’s a true culinary destination on Pensacola Beach. We felt pampered and delighted, and we’ll absolutely be back for another unforgettable evening.
I've been wanting to try Salt for quite some time. We finally went and I was very disappointed. The place was empty when we got there, Service was extremely slow, our drinks continually went dry and we had to wait forever to get a refill or new drink. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. The charcuterie board was delicious and was huge. Unfortunately, it was served with crackers instead of bread. We ordered bread, which took 30 minutes to arrive, and we were done with the charcuterie board prior to its arrival. Crab claws were ok, only received one slice of toast for the appetizer... and there was way too much onion in the dish. My husband said his asparagus was delicious, steak was only ok. I had the winter salad, wish I would have ordered something else. It sounded amazing, but was lacking flavor... blue cheese instead of feta would greatly help the flavor profile, could use some spiced pecans or spiced walnuts instead of the plain walnuts. Drinks were good. Overall an ok experience, not somewhere I plan to visit again.
The lamb lollipops are definitely a must have! Chef Conan, and the entire staff are so warm and welcoming.
The waitress was really nice and knowledgeable about the food. It was cooked rather fast but it was great tasting food. Very quiet, until the bar guys came in at 10:15. But still a great place for a date night.
Chef Conan is amazing! I have never tasted such exquisite crab claws! The tuna was divine! Great service from Avery and delicious dark chocolate cake for my birthday dessert! If you want an outstanding dinner at Pensacola Beach, Salt is THE place to dine!
We searched for a restaurant on the water. If you sat in the right place and stood up, you could see the water. Not the experience I was searching for. But it was pleasant.

We had impeccable service. Our server was attentive and very helpful with suggestions/questions. Her knowledge and experience was obvious with her very descriptive responses. Our food was very good. The ambiance was OK, it sounded like a cafeteria due to the open floor plan and open access to the hotel lobby. Loud roller carts going up/down the corridor adjacent to the booth seating was distracting. But, in a city full of similar fried food menus, Salt offers more variety with salads, non-battered seafood and veggies. Their menu was exactly what we needed.
Happy with service. Food was ok, Ambience was lacking. Very aware you are sitting in the middle of a conference center.
As locals, we eat here often - at least a few times a year. The dinners are classy, but pricey. The breakfast is a great value. There is a buffet that goes until 11AM, and a separate brunch menu that starts after 11. Our kids are partial to the buffet, and they definitely eat our money's worth. This morning was a great experience, as usual. The options range from standards like eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits, bacon, grits, oatmeal, etc . . . I gravitate toward the smoked salmon which pairs well with the bagel selection. The kids load up on cereal and yogurt, but balance it out with bacon and breakfast potatoes. My kids insist on super-crispy bacon, and they regard the bacon at Salt as the best in the world. My youngest has asked to go to Salt for "brunch" as his birthday meal two years in a row now. The service is always great, and Carley took good care of us this morning. We did the buffet this morning, but my wife and I enjoy the brunch options also. The only gripe is that we can't let our kids do the buffet and select from the brunch menu ourselves. We have to time our visits depending on which options we want. For context, we've had 4 meals here in the last month (2 dinners, 2 breakfasts). Of all the options on Pensacola Beach, Salt deserves its place at the top of our rotation.
The food was okay. Service was kind of slow but that was due to the lack of server's, not the server's performance. Staff was friendly. Would happily return if invited, but would not return on my own accord.
We enjoyed our Valentines dinner here. The shrimp cocktail was very tasty and not overcooked. Soup and salad was wonderful and fresh. Our steaks were done perfectly. We will be back highly recommend this place. ☀️🏝️😎👍
