The Grand Marlin of Pensacola Beach

Food and service was amazing! The patio felt like the kids section and was so loud from kids yelling, playing and running around tables. Honestly surprised no one told the two responsible tables to have their kids sit down and stop running around yelling. It's very echoy and a lot of other tables kept looking. I love coming here but I think next time will opt for inside seating since it echos like a pool outside.

It was my ladies 30th birthday and they accommodated my requests to surprise her. They even made a custom menu with happy birthday at the top and asked follow up questions to ensure she would be surprised. Went over and beyond!! Thank you all!!

Grouper picante is fantastic. Get it! Lobster finger appetizers are delicious as well and can work great as a meal if you aren't real hungry or have a small appetite. Or if you want, you can add an extra finger or two for not too much $. Bartender made us perfect old fashions. Whole experience was a 10. As a matter of fact, we already made our next reservation. I would definitely recommend reservations. It can get quite busy. Especially on the weekend.

Thank you! Grand Marlin is our go-to place for a nice evening with friends. The servers are always pleasant and excel a Customer Service. That said, and regrettably so, the Hostesses are consistently missing. Respectfully, I suggest the hostess staff attend the same class as the servers and wait staff. My husband and frequent and love the ambiance and food. However, without fail, the hostesses miss the mark. No smiles. No welcoming and enthusiastic greeting. No presentation that says, “Oh my goodness! I am so happy you chose to dine with us this evening. You could have chosen any other restaurant and you chose us. We are grateful to have you dine with us this evening! Thank you!” If this was an isolated observation I would not share. Unfortunately, it is a consistent experience that a couple of our out of town guest have noticed and commented. Nevertheless, the wait staff and servers save the evening. Of note, this is not my first time offering this feedback. Thank you for providing such a good product in our community. Once your hostesses fall in line, your will be overrun with business!

Excellent the chef is excellent... awesome food. I have been coming here for years and they never disappoint... food tastes great.

This place is fantastic! The food, wine, service and ambiance is definitely 5 star. We consider ourselves to be foodies and we cannot say enough about The Grand Marlin. I had the halibut (chef special), hubby, the shrimp & grits. Both superb. Wine manager helped us choose our bottle of wine which was the perfect accompaniment to our dinner. Dessert was the praline ice cream. Out of this world. Our server, Bianca was likely one of the best we've ever had. A small glitch with our bill which manager, Meg resolved immediately. This place is the real deal. Whether a native or vacationer, you do not want to miss this place.

The Grand Marlin always delivers great food and solid service. We had the seared red snapper in the brown butter caper sauce and the swordfish oreganato. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. The brown butter caper sauce was delicious - the kind of thing that makes you come back and order the exact same thing! The swordfish was nestled on a bed of Parmesan risotto that could prove addictive. No surprise - as The GM never fails to satisfy.

Food was delicious & our server was very good! We loved the decor and the lighting. The only negative comment was the noise level too loud. We were seated in a booth & sometimes it was difficult to hear our friends speak. The Grand Marlin is a great restaurant & we will be back.

The food was Superb! The salads are Huge, Jumbo is constantly delicious, lobster fingers a must and ambiance is Awesome!

Wonderful evening with friends at a great restaurant with fabulous views, attentive service and delicious food! Highly recommend for your next special occasion or just a lovely night out!

Food was delicious. Service was great. Maybe slightly overpriced for what we got, but only maybe. Will definitely visit again.

We had Dianne as our server. Excellent table as requested, and we enjoyed the sangria, appetizers, and fresh fish meals. Very impressed and it is the best fresh fish fine dining we have found on the Emerald Coast!

Another great experience and great cuisine, the bartenders on the outside bar constantly checked on us and very professional and recommended great items.

We have dined with Grand Marlin on several occasions and it is considered to be one of our, if not favorite restaurant on Pensacola Beach. However, something was very amiss last Saturday. Disclaimer, I seldom write bad reviews! Unfortunately, our server(who was VERY friendly BTW) was a miss most of the evening. We had to get bartenders to bring our drinks to the table! The food was ok, nothing like before. The steak was lukewarm warm to the touch! I love the atmosphere and view but this experience just was not worth the money spent!

My husband and I dinned at the Grand Marlin (Pensacola Beach) while celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary. The food was amazing and Cassie our server was exceptional!! She went above and beyond. Her kindness made our celebration all the more special. I highly recommend the grouper piccata and the key lime pie for dessert. Ask for Cassie when you go. She's the absolute best!
