I visted this establishment on July 25, 2024 while on vacation. I can't rate the atmosphere because my friends and I ordered take out. The St Louis Ribs, brisket baked beans, potato salad, pulled pork sandwiches were great. If you are in the Pensacola Beach area, you need to eat at this establishment.

Very strange experience. We were sat quickly and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. We were there for 15 mins and never saw a server or were greeted. When we got up the hostess who sat us did not say a word. Very odd. We walked over to Red Fish Blue Fish and it was great

The Water Pig BBQ is hands down the best BBQ spot I’ve visited! From the moment you step in, the smoky aroma lets you know you’re in for a treat. The brisket and pulled pork are unbelievably tender, and the ribs are fall-off-the-bone perfect. Their house-made sauces complement the meat beautifully, and the sides, especially the cornbread and coleslaw, are spot on. The beachfront location adds a fantastic vibe, making it an ideal spot to enjoy great food with a view. My husband and I were headed to Red Fish Blue Fish when we pulled into the parking lot however, the smell of BBQ lured us to Water Pig. Ate on a Saturday mid October around noon. We were surprised to see very few cars in the parking lot. Upon arrival we were greeted by a cheerful waitress. We ordered Carolina pulled pork and Texas Brisket sandwiches. We both agreed the Brisket was the better of the 2. It was delicious as were the sweet and savory pickle slices that came with it. The tater tots (standard with the sandwich) were ok but had stayed in the cooker just a tad too long. Hubby had a beer and I had water. Tip and all was around $50 ($39 for food). Great water view with covered outdoor seating. If you're in the area give it a try.

Fun, rustic atomphere. Covered outdoor seating on the bay. The St Louis ribs were delicious. Fast, friendly service. Server is knowledgeable of gluten free options. Most of the menu is gluten free. Would go back again.

I’m always skeptical of restaurants in beach towns, but this bbq joint is outstanding. The wings were some of the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely massive, juicy and great dry rub flavoring. Pork ribs were fantastic. The sides were great, too. I just wish they had fries.
