I signed my credit card receipt for $43.00 but they charged me $50.85. The $43.00 already include a healthy tip (over 20%). The one star is strictly for the thievery. I don't really have an opinion on the food as it's not the food I would normally eat.

I love this place, I come here every week with my wife. We never miss a week, however I was shocked with what happened this most recent time we went and the server pretty much stole from me. We came for new years on the 31st like I said we never miss a week for the past 3 months. However I was suprised to see that I was charged $5 more than the check + the tip I had put for our bill. It was an older gentleman who’s never been our server before. I only tipped $2 as that’s all I could tip normally I do more but this time I couldn't. I wrote the new total ($47) on the receipt so there was no way he could’ve confused the 2 for a 7 as the new total was written on the bill by me. The bill total was supposed to be $47 from the original bill that’s including my $2 tip and for some reason I was charged $52. I know $5 is not a lot but for some it is and it’s really about the principle and this is borderline stealing and I don’t find it okay. I don’t want to give them a bad name or bad review bc I love this place and the food however I don’t agree with this and I would advise everyone to be cautious. This has never happened before and I’m not sure why it just did but it’s making me rethink coming here again which is a bummer because this is me and my wifes current fav spot.

Tbh I’m only making this review because they charged me 6 dollars for some extra meat and I got the smallest pieces ever and it pisses me off because when I order in person and eat there I get the biggest pieces ever but since it was takeout and these people don’t think well check they gave me the shittiest proportions ever

Absolutely amazing! The PHO flavor, portion, fresh herbs and spices. The price point is affordable. This is definitely our new spot. My PHO lunch soup was $13 and pork’s under $15.

Updated review December 2025:

The food here is exquisite. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is super chill! We love coming here for a great meal! The rare beef and rib pho are amazing. The papaya salad with shrimp is a must try! We have been going there for years and always leave happy. The service is impeccable. I truly enjoy each time I visit Pho 79 in Pinecrest!

Original review:

I love Pho and Pho 79 makes a very delicious tendon pho soup. This location is spacious and the staff is kind and attentive. I highly recommend.

Pro tip: a medium is PLENTY for the average person, the large is gigantic.

Came here randomly after Googling pho restaurants in the area, and I’m so glad I did. The service was prompt, the food was fresh, and the customer service was great for a quick lunch.

Vietnamese food isn’t easy to find in Miami, but Pho 79’s fantastic, traditional, and refreshingly straightforward menu more than makes up for it. I gladly drive over 30 minutes (and come multiple times a month) because it’s just that good. There are a few other Vietnamese spots around, but none come close, and there’s a reason this place is always full.

Their beef pho, vermicelli noodles, and summer rolls are classics executed to perfection. And as a nước chấm addict, I can confidently say theirs is spot-on: perfectly pungent, deeply savory, and impossible not to crave.

The middle-aged gentleman at the door didn't seem interested and ignored me. This is the first time I've seen such disgrace in my life. I paid for nothing and received no service. His face was sullen and the service was terrible. We paid and were humiliated.

crepe was bigger than I expected but I wish it was a little less crispy and more crepe texture. pho was delicious and the portion was good. though it's also not budget friendly.
