Today my grandson and I went to Pinecrest Bakery in Pinecrest to place a catering order and met the owner, Efrain Valdes. It is our family’s go to bakery and sandwich shop in Miami because the food has never changed since the day they opened and it is always fantastic. During our conversation with Efrain, he found out my grandson is in the military and based in Boston. He genuinely and profusely thanked my grandson for his service. He was so sincere in his comments that it brought me to tears. Not only is the food fantastic but so is the owner. Our sincere thanks to you.

Prices charged very often differ from prices shown on the menu. I also asked to order just eggs and bacon and they told me I had to pay the same price as “el desayuno completo”, so I’d have to pay for additional stuff I don’t want. This was not offered as an option. I was told that if I want bacon and eggs, I can't order them separately and I'd have to order the special. Clearly, the woman just made it up so I’d have to tip more. I often feel that way about this place.

We ordered 6 sandwiches from this location in Pinecrest 3 traditional Cuban and 3 traditional steak on the telephone. When I got there to pick these up I was told that they ran out of Cuban bread and had to put it on sweet bread? I should have been called and told this and I would have cancelled this order. I am not a lawyer but I think this is called a bait and switch. I was in a hurry and did not look at the receipt nor signed it I was charged an additional $10.81 for a gratuity I did not approve and will be disputing with my credit card company. With so many other eateries like this you should not waste your hard earned money in this place.
