Platea Prime Steakhouse & Ceviche Bar

I found this place by doing a steak restaurant near me search in google and chose it because it had 4.6 stars and ceviche! The atmosphere is nice, dim lighting so a bit romantic. We had two appetizers, the raw oysters and the ceviche bowl. These are the best oysters I ever had, they are served in leche de Tigre and didn't need horseradish to drown the flavor. Then the ceviche bowl was a unique blend of seafood, ginger, rocoto and lime juice with puree sweet potato. For the main course we had the tomahawk Tuesday special for 2 with Brussels sprouts and the mushrooms with onions. The sprouts were good and the mushrooms were amazing. The steak was really good as well, but they definitely saved the best for last, the special included a dessert and we opted for the Lucuma cheesecake, it beat everything else!!!!! I'm definitely coming back on a Thursday night for live music. Service was exceptional! Thank you @Douglas for being so attentive and amazing! We'll be back!

Great experience, porterhouse was perfect, expensive, but worth it. Also a restaurant with integrity, left my card there and they messaged me to pick it up. They opened up an hour early the next day for me to pick it up.

Extraordinary culinary experience !! First time and I’ll be coming back!! The ambiance is truly inviting!! The dishes are a complete presentation as the exquisite taste!! The BEST Ceasar salad ; grilled pulpo and tomahawk experience ever ! Highly recommend !

We had a terrible experience. The lomo Saltado meat was hard to chew and not safe to swallow.. the server spoke the meat was the best in Miami and believe me, it was not. The dessert came as highly recommended and we left it untouched after the first bite. The ceviche must have been an invention of the cook, and not even close to the way a Peruvian ceviche should be. If you are thinking about visiting this restaurant any time soon, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere. We had lemonades and no wines and bill above $100 per person.

This was a lovely dining experience from start to finish. The service was amazing, the steaks were very nicely cooked, brussel sprouts were delish, and wine selection was terrific. My only complaint is that they did not have a full bar, only beer and wine. We will be back for the rest however!

Wow! It's really nice to find an upscale restaurant this far down south. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. The servings are enough to share and really delicious. We ordered white sangria, a ceviche, burrata salad, tomahawk steak, Brussel sprouts, truffled French fries and the tallarines verdes.

Peruvian ceviche is great and has a great flavor.

The filet mignon is very delicious and well served, I recommend combining it with the Caesar salad.

They have a variety of wines.

They accept credit and debit cards. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance.
