Outstanding intimate steak house by pinecrest. The steaks are superb. Only issue is the very outrageous prices for side dishes, like a small dish of French fries. 15 dollars. A can of soda 8.00, all too much. You will pay a hefty sum to eat at this small intimate Peruvian steak house. Though the steak is great, the bill will have you having second thoughts.

It's very overpriced for what it is. The steak quality wasn't the best and they drown the meats in butter masking any flavor. The cocktails were good, the tostones wagyu appetizer was great and the desserts were really good. I was just overall disappointed with the steaks not having any flavor. For the price there's other amazing steak house restaurants in Miami.

I enjoyed my experience at Platea very much!I decided to go on a Sunday, so I went ahead and booked a reservation online. The process was easy and quick. I got 15 minutes before my reservation and the people there were extremely nice to accommodate us in a table. The ambience was great with light music and deemed lights.The menu it’s easy to understand with so many tempting options.Our server was very nice, and I liked how the sommelier of the place came first thing to offer us what they had for that night specials.We started with a tuna tartare, which was made so good, and it was so fresh. The colors of that tuna were amazing and I didn’t take any pictures just because it was too busy eating the delicious food!What I loved the most about the tuna tartare besides the flavors, the taste, and tenderness …was the sauce that it came with. I could eat the sauce alone for days!Then we shared at Chaufa and it was spectacular. The explosion of flavors in my mouth, were phenomenal, and I loved how everything was cooked to perfection.I saw the pictures of this place and I thought that their food will have a lot of flavor but not you go there and try it, is when you definitely noticed that.They are located in a shopping center which means parking is free and limited so my recommendation is make reservations and go with a little 10 minutes extra time just in case.

Meat quality was OK however my husband's bone in ribeye was very fatty. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly but extremely salty. Don't know if this is a Peruvian must. I could not eat it. The lobster tail I requested was upgraded to their house specialty $65!!! I wanted a simple lobster tail add-on with my filet. The wine was very good but the time we walked in it appeared to be in a disarray. No enough workers to clear tables. We waited almost 30 minutes and we had reservations! Overall very disappointed with this spot. We were really looking forward to a great neighborhood steakhouse but didn't meet our expectations.

Overall experience was okay. I would not go again but for a romantic dinner maybe a possibility from someone else that overlooks cold food and as far as wine selection the server had to use there personal light from there phone to look for a bottle that at the end did not know if they had it or not. Honestly, I don't know how we could've had a better experience. This restaurant is such a gem, I'm so grateful we found it. Five all across-the-board! We started off with a ceviche, which was brilliant, the lomo saltado was DIVINE, when we bit into it our minds were BLOWN! Dessert. We had the chocolate cake, which was a beautiful presentation. Their service was excellent and the cherry on top was the live music, which they have every Thursday. The place was also beautifully decorated, easy to find and parking was a breeze. We will most definitely be back!
