Food was FANTASTIC We will be back again. And again

been going for years. both places. new owners are just a wonderful as the past. food is A1! I highly recommend.

This rating is only based on a to go dessert. I went there for the first time to try their bread pudding. The rating online was good. Picked up my to go bag and out the door I went to drive home to enjoy. When I took it out the first things I noticed was it wasn’t warm as I would think it would be. It was wrapped in a Saran Wrap, cold, with a very small side of the glaze. It was a nice large piece on a styrofoam bowl but that small side cup of glaze would probably be good for maybe a quarter of that sized bread pudding. I was pretty disappointed.

We got a hodgepodge mix of food. The fried green tomatoes were soooo crispy on the outside! The sauce on top was awesome! We got gator bites which were great and they came with another great sauce! We tried the jambalaya bowl, which was great! The bread on the side was a bit stale but it wasn't bad at all! Then we got fried okra which I absolutely love and theirs was some of the best! The star of the show was the whiskey bread pudding, I've never heard of it, never had it....I would literally go back just to order okra and the bread pudding. It was delicious!!

First time trying this cafe and it was amazing! They were short staff but the aunt and niece ran it so smoothly, better than what I have seen going to a large restaurant. We had the fried oysters and the catfish and crawfish dinner over rice. The ladies were very pleasat!

We will definitely come back to try other meals.

The owner was very rude. I came in with someone that was 73 years old and today was her birthday. He told us to wait when it was plenty of chairs to sit in and I need to sit down Her down because she has walking issues he took the ketchup from our table. She wasn’t even done eating her fries and I got a phone call said do you see the sign on the door it’s no talking on the phone and it was my mother calling me about something important. It was just very uncomfortable. I don’t know if it was a color thing because he was treating everyone else in there. Nice the food was great and told us we could go eat somewhere else if we wanted to, but I didn’t wanna get her back up when she already have trouble walking to go find somewhere else so I just asked him where he was he having a bad he really made us feel uncomfortable my bill was $88 and I left the eight dollar tip which I really didn’t even wanna leave a tip with him but that’s the type of person I am I ordered the gator boy and she ordered and french fries and I ordered french fries and I ordered jambalaya and she ordered a Keylime pie but the way he made us never going back His mother-in-law was very nice and polite
