We've been coming to Carmelita's for over 15 years. It's my wife's favorite authentic Mexican restaurant.

The food was underwhelming, honestly nothing to get excited about. But the service? Absolutely terrible. The staff was rude, dismissive, and acted like we were a huge inconvenience just by being there. Drinks took forever, questions were met with eye rolls, and it felt like they couldn’t care less whether we enjoyed our meal. I’ve had friendlier interactions at a fast-food drive-thru. Save your time and money — go somewhere where the staff actually wants you there.

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant. Last few times I've ordered the food has been meh. I order the same thing every time, fajita nachos. The onions and bellpeppers are chopped horribly. You get giant chunks that are huge and not fully cooked. Hardly and cheese. Not worth the $18. I won't order this again. The food here isn't terrible so I'll be back just no more nachos.

Carmelita’s is an establishment in Pinellas County, having been around for over 40 years. They serve better than average Tex-Mex cuisine in a friendly and comfortable environment. Their chips and salsa really stand out. The chips are light and crispy with just enough salt and the salsa is flavorful without being overpowering. They offer a wide variety of traditional Tex-Mex dishes. I’ve been eating here for 20 years and have never been disappointed.

Absolutely.Loved this place but i'm coming here for many many years. We used to come here back in the day when Humberto worked there and the service and food was amazing then , but still is to this day.
