The food was great. I think they have the best Chile Rellenos in St. Petersburg. I was surprised to see they add an upcharge for using credit cards. You don't find this out until they present your check. They also calculate tips on the upcharge amount, not the original price.

We stopped in for some take out. The gentleman that served us was prompt and efficient in getting our order taken and out to us in a flash. The kids meal was properly portioned for the kiddos. The chips and salsa was fresh but the guacamole needed some help. Overall a good quick grab and go. Next visit I'll have to sit in for an actual meal.

My boyfriend and I go to Carmelita’s almost once a week. Everyone is always so kind and hard working but Erikson is hands down our favorite. He’s attentive, funny, kind and his memory is amazing. We’ve had other servers and haven’t been as often but he still remembered our faces and orders.
