Ordered online and they claimed to not have received an order. Most likely cause they want you to pay there so they can overcharge you like the other reviewers mentioned. Completely empty on a Saturday night at 7pm not surprising at all. Most likely a front cause they’re definitely not making enough to pay the rent through legitimate means.

Quality, quality, quality!! Great place. The owners were extremely welcoming and the food was amazing. Felt like home. Definitely a great place to go to, not many Nicaraguense cuisines out there, so this was a great find. Mucho éxitos!

Overpriced, bad service, and loud. Consistently overcharge for food.

I had an amazing experience at El Tío Nica! I ordered the nacatamal and it was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and so authentic, just like a homemade dish. My boyfriend had the caldo de res and he couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. We also shared the tostones con queso frito, which were fresh, perfectly cooked, and so tasty.

The customer service was very family-oriented and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable the whole time. The owner was very friendly.

If you’re looking for true Nicaraguan flavors, this is definitely the spot. I’ll be coming back for sure!

I had the Carne asada and it was delicious!!!
Also, Toñas were very cold as the way a real Nicaraguan would love to drink it.

Gladys was amazing! Good service, good companion, and an amazing woman🤩

Food was amazing! Honestly it’s a little pricey but I rather pay for quality food than go to these restaurants in downtown and not be content with my food, I rather pay for a good home cooked meal.
Very authentic

Table boy was polite but the serving girl was very rude. What I ordered was not what I received on my to-go bag, prices are very high for the quality & presentation of Nicaragüense plates I have eaten before .. will never go back.

Best Carne Asada I’ve had in a long time. I’m salvi ?? and was looking for something to eat during my lunch break so worth it. The costumer service was spectacular. Wish it was more organized online and had a to go menu for the office … but definitely recommend this place.
