Drove here only to find out there are no baked goods. Restaurant is dirty and all I saw were boxes all over the store. Not sure why this is acceptable condition when all I saw I dirt and clutter. Will never recommend and will never try ordering coz I’m sure their kitchen is dirty

Like a restaurant/sari sari store. Nice n authentic. A bit more vinegar in the pancit than I'm used too but excellent eats.

We live in Jacksonville and after we went to the Dali Museum, we were craving sinigang. We googled filipino food and this was the closest place we could get to before they closed. It's a little tindahan and reminded me of back in the PI where you can buy your snacks and odds and ends like eskinol, soap, chicharon, shrimp crackers, etc. The sweet lady took our order and it felt like my Lola bringing the food out to us. Even though we ordered a lot, it was very fairly priced and we left so happy. It was delicious and so comforting. She gave me a card saying there was one in Kissimmee too and to this day I still have it in my wallet! I still think about that place and will definitely be back!

This wasn't my first choice, I went to the business down the street solely based on stars, to my Surprise, the stars and service didn't match so we left to go here. Living in a place where there were no Filipino restaurants or stores, my experience started off horribly, I'm glad i came here.

Mercels bakery is your typical two in one store / restaurant. Majority of the space was stocked with Filipino favorites such as swan soy sauce, bario fiesta bagaoon, UBE flavored snacks etc. There was a small selection in the bakery window but we opted to skip it and chose to get done UBE wafer sticks. They offered to door services for boxes sent over seas ( which I ended up helping an elderly mother and her daughter struggling unload her two boxes. ) We were greeted by the Filipino grandma who smiled the whole time. I wished she had a grandson or someone else help her carry the food, not that she couldn't handle it.

We ordered Adobong baboy, beef bistek, pinoy spaghetti, diniguan and (3) pork BBQ skewers. Entrees didn't come with rice but they sold it for 1.25 a side. For the avg person, 1 is plentiful, maybe a little more than 2x more for what you'd normally get. Being pinoy, I ordered two for myself. Food came out quick and was even pre-bused periodically. They didn't offer free water but their bottles water and soda wasn't overpriced.

In my providence, the filipino food is cooked more on the sweeter side but food was still good. Family didn't complain one bit about the food and finished everything. Overall I was glad I came here and wasn't disrespected or judged like the owner at tindihans pinoy down the street.

We used Mercel's to cater appetizers for our wedding, and the guests couldn't stop raving about it! We got the lumpia and pancit and it was all gone so fast. Absolutely delicious food and great for catering!

The old lady at the cashier has an attitude. Been here a couple of times and half of the time she can be a bit rude or unfriendly.Their food is not the best and a lot of the foods listed in their menu isn't available.

I'm sharing this review for awareness. We always bought sweets here, called Suman. As always, we asked the lady at the counter if it's fresh just to make sure, and she replied, " Yes, very fresh." My daughter ates it and noticed the bad taste when she checked molds are all over. It is very hard to see because the sweets are wrapped in a banana left and then sealed in a plastic. The next day, my husband returned the sweets, and the lady just took it from his hand, bought a fresh one, put it in the counter, then turned around and went to the kitchen without saying any words. So, if you shop from this store, please check thoroughly, especially food items. Because, even the groceries, some of them are long expired already.

My wife and I decided stop by here from our Clearwater beach honeymoon vacation. My wife really loves Filipino food because she is a Filipina herself. We got pancit and Halo halo for our to go order. The pancit was pretty good but not the best and that is why is shop is getting 4 star review. On the other hand the halo halo was very good. I would highly recommend it! I would stop by again in the future when I visit near the area for the halo halo :)
