This is home away from home. I've been coming to Alma Llanera since 2015. The food has stayed as excellent as always, never disappointed.

Cold empanadas, cold Cachapa I asked for hot and they heated it in the microwave. The patacon looked like it was made days ago.Honestly they make Venezuelan food look bad.

Delicious! Unassuming and unpretentious, just good home-style cooking. This is a lovely place in Pinellas Park that served us a generous platter of Venezuelan specialties and a ginormous bowl of good soup. And I loved the traditional sugar cane juice with lemon beverage - great refresher! The decor features icons of the country, a nice touch that gives newcomers to the cuisine like me a feel for the heritage. Looking forward to a return visit next time I'm in the area to shop at The Book Rescuers practically right across the street. Perfect for a day of browsing the shelves and then reinvigorating after loading all the books in the car!Vegetarian options: Check selections with the server or kitchen before ordering to make sure animal fats were not used in cooking, but otherwise there are cheese filled items and also eggs on the menu.
