Excellent, no frills BBQ. Classically great brisket and ribs. Did not disappoint if you’re in the area. Simple ingredients and sauce for condiments and sides.

Best BBQ i have ever had. Hands down. Service was amazing. Staff was very friendly. I highly recommend you try this establishment. I will return when I come back to florida.

We planned on visiting Johnson's BBQ at least 2 years ago however our first time was yesterday and it was truly fantastic. As soon as you arrive at the door there is someone there to greet you immediately and also seat you comfortably 😉, there is the unique air of southern hospitality and also kindness from the servers and waitstaff! The atmosphere is rustic and original that way you know your in line for some great BBQ the way it was meant to be, slow smoked and falling off the bone tender. The side dishes were also great, the have collard greens, green beans, sweet potatoes soufflé and potato salad to name just a few along with desserts. The main entrées are of the slow smoked ribs and chicken, to include beef brisket and pork butter. My favorite were the nachos 😋 which are an appetizer but easily could've been a meal as they were covered in melted cheese and layered with chunks of beef brisket! Also the Southern fried chicken was slow smoked, fried and then drizzled with honey, OMG!! The taste was Phenomenal!! My wife had the BBQ Chicken wings and they were succulent and juicy, the sauces weren't overpowering and were sweet and smokey 😋!! I would definitely recommend Johnson's BBQ to anyone traveling or living around the Plant City, FL area it's worth a trip as I'll be going back ASAP! Me and my wife went hear yesterday and I’m not going to lie everything that we ordered was trash even the BBQ sauces was nasty brisket was dry all the sides was nasty except the okra I will never eat there again

My husband and I went here yesterday to grab some takeout. This was our 1st time going to this establishment. We spent $85 after ordering the Rib and brisket with 2 sides, burger with fries, 1/2 chicken dinner and 1/2 fried chicken dinner. When we got home my ribs were dried out and hard, the brisket was very dry but seasoned, my husband’s chicken dinner was very dry as well. I was very disappointed to have spent that amount of money and not be able to eat my dinner. We will not be going back there.

Always awesome. This place is a staple in East Hillsborough county. There's nothing on the menu I wouldn't recommend. Oddly enough, it's the little stuff.... The rolls are flipping amazing! The sweet potato casserole is not to be missed! Love this place.

As soon as I got there the lady waited and I had to ask her if the counter in front was where I ordered. She took my order, but did not take payment. Someone else asked if I have been helped I told her someone had placed my order but did not take my payment. i gave her the $50 and she handed it to the lady who took my order. I got the Elton’s BBQ survey which I ordered creamy corn w/bacon, fries, mac n cheese, three ribs, two wings, and double briskets. The sides were good, but the ribs and brisket left much too desire. I would expect the chicken wings to be dry, but they were good. Whenever I go to a barbecue joint I always like to order brisket since I feel like that is harder to master. The ribs were the end piece so they were really dry and seem like they have been sitting for a while for how dry it was. First time experience was not the best. Makes me question about going the second time especially for what I spent on the meal. I am just glad I did not order more.
