Ole Tampa Cubans is everything you hope to find in a great local spot in the heart of Plant City—delicious, comforting food served by genuinely kind people, all in a space that’s clean and inviting.
From the moment I walked up, I was welcomed like family. The staff radiated that down-to-earth charm you only find in places where the food is made with love and pride. Their warmth really set the tone, and I immediately felt at ease.
Let’s talk about the food—because wow. The Cuban was a perfect balance of texture and taste: crisped just right on the outside, with tender pork, melty Swiss, and that zesty mustard-pickle combo that makes each bite sing. The rice and beans were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. And the devil crab? Crispy, rich, and so satisfying.
What really stood out to me was how clean and cared for everything was. You can tell they take pride not only in their food but in every detail of the dining experience.
If you're passing through Plant City even within driving distance, this place is absolutely worth the stop. It’s the kind of spot that reminds you why supporting local is such a treat.

First timer from Tampa at this restaurant, on my way to Lakeland stopped in Plant City to get donuts nearby, I noticed restaurant, so I stopped by, I ordered 2 Cuban sandwiches and stuffed potatoes, the Cuban sandwiches were great tasting & Excellent!!! A+, the stuffed potatoes were very good & tasty also, the presentation/packaging of the food for takeout was Awesome! & Very neat/tidy, l loved the sturdy brown paper bag! my sandwiches were still good & warm when I got to Lakeland, me and my sister enjoyed our lunch very much 🙂 I'll be back!

I passed by at 2 in the afternoon and was told that they do not make cafe con leche at this time. All authentic Cuban restaurants I have been to always have cafe con leche anytime they are open

Terrible place. Save your money. The sandwich had plastic in it and the worst spoiled taste. The crab cake literally tasted days old and left the worst aftertaste. I paid $20 for a cuban, a small crabcake and a sweet tea and nothing was worth it. Such was just a waste a money. Not to mention the customer service was terrible. The girl barely looked up from her phone to take our order.

This is our go-to lunch spot for local plant city lunch! The Cubans & fried potato balls are our favorite, must try. Any of the cubans! The salads are a great portion with generous toppings. Rice & beans well seasoned. We love love love old Tampa Cuban!!

Great local sandwich deli serving tasty Spanish Cuban sandwiches. Stop by while waiting for my insurance quote for my home from the local insurance company a few doors down. I was completely satisfied with both... the Cuban sandwich was delicious, and the insurance quote for my home saved me $5k annually, which gave me emotional relief from the past several yrs of being gouged financially due to rising annual premiums! I was highly disappointed with the cafe con leche. Basically it was American coffee with milk. I thought this was an authentic Cuban place.

Went to Tampa for a wedding and picked up their traditional Cuban deviled crabs. They were absolutely the best we’ve had in many, many years. They were filled with lots of crab meat. They were perfect when I reheated them in my air fryer. Taking a cooler with us so next time we can get a dozen or two to bring home along with some of their fantastic Cuban sandwiches. .

Walking into the restaurant you experience the small town atmosphere. Pictures on the wall walk you through the growth and history of this restaurants life. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is relaxing, and a family style. The staff is warm, and greet you as you walk in. Highly recommended.
