We visited the Whistle Stop Café in Plant City and were blown away by the kindness and hospitality here. Marti, the owner, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—she truly cares about her customers. We also tried their cookies (white chocolate macadamia and chocolate chip) and they were some of the best cookies I have seriously ever had—fresh, the perfect balance between soft and chewy with just enough crisp, and absolutely delicious! The chicken salad is a must! It’s rare to find a place where you’re treated like family, but that’s exactly how Marti made us feel. We’ll definitely be back!

Came in a bit ago with some friends and my kiddos. We had root beer floats. They were delicious but the service is really where it’s at. The owner is so sweet! There is even a pianist that plays. It was all around a GREAT experience and a place you don’t wanna miss out on!

What a wonderful place. Located in the old Herring Drug Store (1896). Address is located downtown Plant City at 102 South Collins.
Homemade breads. Homemade soups and a well-rounded large menu. Family owned and run. It is a wonderful surprise to have in historic downtown.
I hope you stop by and support this family business.
Be sure to read the hours. Operate on Tuesday through Friday 11:00 a.m. to 3:30, on Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. And every third Saturday of the month there's a classic car show and they run typically longer hours.

Traveling between Orlando and Tampa we decided to stop for lunch and the Whistle Stop came up on Yelp. To be honest, it was not our first choice but the Universe decided it was our lunch spot. I am so happy we did. We each had the Whistle Stop Special which came with a bag of chips and a pickle, added unsweetened iced tea and one slice of Black Forest cake. OMG, people! The sandwich was lean corned beef, roast beef, lettuce, tomato and mayo topped with mozzarella cheese served hot on your choice of bread. We chose honey whole wheat but could have had white Italian or NY rye. The cake was homemade and about 4 inches high. This did not disappoint at all. Sandwich and tea was $11.00 each person and $4.00 for the cake. Service was as wonderful as the food. The staff was friendly and cheerful. I want to go back there and I seldom want to repeat places. I forgot to mention there was someone playing the piano as well. There were vegetarian options but I cannot speak for those.

We go to Plant City once a year, when visiting Florida and always drop in at the Whistle Stop Cafe. Food and service is good and Mrs Marti is always very friendly.
Marti is amazing and made us feel right at home! You will love it! and the food was great along with the homemade breads!

This place not only has great food but amazing service! All of the people working there are amazing sweet people and it's impossible to leave without a smile on your face. 10/10 would recommend. They play amazing music and even have professional pianist playing. The place has an amazing atmosphere and is very interesting! It's so cool looking at all the old cool vintage things and the moving model train circling the room above you. The wait for your food is almost non-existant, at least it felt like there was no wait. The sweet kind lady that was always smiling and talking to us made the wait for our food go by so fast and the wait was only about 2-5 minutes but it felt like much less! This place was definitely an experience! I recommend the cuban sandwich was delicious!
