we went out for a Saturday afternoon cruise on our Spyder and found this restaurant by accident. The brisket was awesome along with the half chicken and sides. Service was great also.

Fantastic, tender brisket and friendly customer service! Loved their 3-color baked beans and custom sauces. Fair prices and charming picnic tables in the shade. Can't wait to go back :)

The food was not good. Edible, maybe. There are little things wrong on every order. I would like to know where they got all those awards.

I don't think I could beat you at making ribs. I've never used a smoker, but I don't think that is the point. It was not my first time, or second, or third, that the food was just not very good. Of course, everyone has their own tastes. For example, your sauces were just not to my tastes. The sides were ok, though they had a very different taste than most bbq I've enjoyed. The cornbread had a clumpy, cakey texture. Then the meat was greasy and an odd greenish brown color. Which is not what I'm expecting with 10hr smoked brisket.

It is also odd to me that the excuse for poor food would be in yall catering so much today. If you want to run a catering service that will negatively affect your storefront, maybe put out a sign that says sorry the food is mid today because we spread ourselves too thin. Don't get me wrong I understand the issue, I just don't think that should be an excuse.

I am also not one to complain in person. I shouldn't have to say the food is bad to an employee. Every time you go to eat somewhere it could be a gamble. I am satisfied trying something and paying for it in the state they apparently thought was appropriate.

I will change it to 2 stars though. 1 should be reserved for gross conditions and inedible food.

I once again revoke you back to a one star for you are all I have eaten today and yet I have had the runs. And I'm in a mood to blame.

Visiting the area and enjoyed an AMAZING take-out meal from Polk City BBQ! We loved the General Van Fleet sampler with baked beans, potato salad, apple slaw, and grilled cornbread. All the meats were tender and super flavorful. The sweet BBQ sauce was delish. The sampler was more than enough for two of us… leftovers for later (yay!)! The grilled cheese with pork and sweet tea were also big hits. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Very disappointing experience tonight. My wife and I have eaten at this establishment several times and found the quality of the food to be good and the prices very fair. However our experience tonight means we probably will not be back. We showed up a little after 7:00 and we could tell they were slightly busy. We waited in line and made sure the waitress knew we were dining in. She told us take a seat and she would be right with us. We took a seat and observed she continued to take take out orders of people who walked in well after we were seated. We waited between 10 and 15 minutes with absolutely no service. My wife got up and stood by the counter to ask if we could be waited on the waitress ignored my wife, so my wife asked a second time if she could take our order. Waitress again ignored my wife and acted like we didn't exist. As someone who worked in the restaurant industry this is a cardinal sin. I doubt we will be back anytime soon if ever. We definitely cannot recommend to friends and family due to what was an absolute failure at customer service.

First time and last time eating here. They brought out our food the Mac n cheese was cold they brought it back it was so hot you could not eat it. The brisket was not good at all and their BBQ sauce is nasty

The brisket it's nasty tasts like it was made in a crock pot no smoke at all clearly your cooks neet to figure out how to smoke and BBQ meat!! No seasoning or flavor and mush of fat I will not return

The team took amazing care of our big event! From the moment I reached out to the catering team, they jumped into action and took amazing care of the Guests at our wedding. We had a de last minute adjustments that the team happily accommodated, and everything was so much more amazing than we had originally planned. Cannot thank you enough! Pretty fantastic BBQ! I was really excited for the pulled pork and the mac 'n cheese, but the mac wasn't all that good 🫤 You do get quite a bit of food for the price, which is always awesome! The staff is friendly, the restaurant itself is tiny and the tables are really close together, but good food and good people.

Nice and quiet ambiance, the food was awesome. Everyone was very kind and attentive to us. We recommend the pork ribs. The place looks very clean, too. My wife and I decided to make it our new fav bbq place. Mission BBQ was our favorite now it's Polk City BBQ!
