This is our favorite spot for upscale, creative food. The staff is attentive and the food is always fantastic.

The service was awful. We had to ask for setups and bread service, and the entrees took 45 minutes to arrive, with one of the entrees(party of six) did not arrive until 15 minutes after the other. The food quality was good, but it appeared they were unstaffed, as the hostess helped served the meals.
We had a lovely meal at Cafe Maxx. The yellowtail snapper and pork chop were delicious! Valerie took good care of us!
I am have been coming here since they first opened in 1984 when I lived in Ft Lauderdale. Now I live in West Delray so don't come here very often. It was my birthday and a friend took me here.
Also great food, service, and an outstanding wine list. I chose a Hook of Crook Cellars Old Line Zinfandel Reserve 2015 from Lodi. Only $ 35 and a steal.
Started with one of their all time favorite appetizers, Tuna Sashimi Pizza, Wasabi cream cheese, sweet soy, caviar, scallion and spicy mayo . Amazing
For mains, I opted for the Guava Pink Peppercorn Glazed Grilled Duck Breasts, Chive cream cheese risotto, green beans, demi glace & plantain chips. I substituted fingerling potatoes for the risotto. Well constructed dish with bold flavors. My friend choose the Shirt steak, excellently prepared.
For dessert, we had another house favorite, Deep Dish Bourbon & Chocolate Pecan Pie , served with warm chocolate sauce & ice cream. Super and a great finish.
For a memorable evening and outstanding food and service, Cafe Maxx is a must.

Solid restaurant. First time trying it out not too bad. Good old fashioned for me, martini for her. We started with the caeser salad very good. She had the pork medallions and it was delicious. I had shrimp scampi also delicious. For dessert I had the key lime pie which was good and she had the chocolate cake which was really decadent. All in all solid food and service.

Ine of our favorite restaurants for years! good food vooked at the time , splendid wines, good service
Overrated . Overpriced. Does not complete with other fine dining restaurants such as Kaluz for the money. Did not have an upscale feeling tonit. Very expensive for no reason
Always a superb evening !!! The food is always delicious and service, exceptional !! A MUST !

The tartare was AMAZING! Will go back again just for that! Fish was prepared very nicely with sweet onions. Waiter was very helpful, professional and attentive. Bo Rh key lime pie and carrot cake were delicious!
Such a shame, the food is delicious, but service and atmosphere were really off. It took over an hour to get our appetizers, 2.5 hours to get entrees. It wasn't the kitchen, because food was flying out to other tables. Our waitress brought our water and drinks, then disappeared. We think she didn't give our ticket to the kitchen. Others brought our food and drinks. It was so hot in the dining room, we left without having dessert. My three companions had never been there and do not want to return.
For a high scale restaurant was not impressed. Our food was nothing exceptional. I had the lamb chops (3) which were tasty enough, but not enough , the vegetables and potatoes were hardly visible underneath the chops and slathered with some kind of gravy. I think I had like two slithers of carrot and another vegetable that was unrecognizable due to gravy, and about two could have been 3 slices of potato? My husband had the pasta with chicken that was good but looked like they just served in a dish with no presentation at all. No bread ( saw that the table next to us had) didn't need any ( im on a diet) but would have been nice w the pasta for my husband. And really expected some live music as it was a holiday weekend. Drinks were good but for the price was not impressed. Waitress quoted $14 and was charged $15. Wasn't worthy to comment about it. So again had big expectations and was disappointed
I frequent Cafe Maxx for many reasons. Love the people that make you feel at home. Service is always exceptional. The menu changes but favorites are always an option. Food is consistent and delicious. Desserts are amazing and it's one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Lauderdale.
First time going to Cafe Maxx and I was very impressed! The food was absolutely delicious and the amazing quality that I've heard about is definitely true. We will definitely be back!
