been meaning to come to this place for a really long time. They’re not open on the weekend so it’s kind of challenging. We ended up finally coming here. They have very good service and a great selection of drinks. I ended up having the dolphin (mahi) curry which was really tasty and well put together. they have a good selection of hot sauces too.

I have been going to this place for years. Great locals spot. Always new items and daily specials. Had the crab stuffed grouper this time and it was fantastic. Fresh and delicious.

I have been going here for years and I thought when it changed owners it would go south but not even close. When I got there I ordered the conch chowder and it was just as good as allways! I then had a piece of snapper and it was nice and fresh just moist and flaky. My wife had the whole fried snapper which she allways has and it was so big she almost couldn't finish it. I love this place for fish and only wish they were open for dinner. Thank you new owners for keeping this old school fish place great.

We have driven by this place forever and finally tried it a few months ago and keep coming back. This is a local joint known for the busy lunch rushes to get fresh local seafood so we go for dinner. We love getting the cracked conch app and tried the grilled octopus last night, which was incredible (not shown). We have had several fish dishes like Hogfish. Yellow edge grouper, Mahi Mahi, swordfish, scallops, and redfish on our latest visits. They serve entrees with a light ginger salad and 2 side dishes.

It's now a staple that we love going to for friendly service and amazing seafood at reasonable prices. Haven't had room for dessert yet but maybe someday. As a local foodie I always look for great restaurants with fresh selections. If you are in the Pompano Beach area, find this little gem but be warned they are Closed on the weekends and close at 9pm during the week. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I decided to go out to dinner tonight so we chose to go to Calypso's since the Fish Shack was closed on Mondays. we started off with conch fritters that were undercooked and chewy then we had our meal come with Caesar salad that was swimming in the dressing. I had a sweet potato & asparagus and the stuffed dolphin. The sweet potato was cold the asparagus was hard and the stuffing in the dolphin had no flavor. she had the twin lobster tails which I believe we're overcooked because they were chewy. So we ordered a couple of bread puddings to go we have gotten them before there so we knew that they were good I got all the way home and there was barely any sauce in the container to pour over the bread pudding. I had to go back to get extra sauce because it wasn't the way that it usually is when I get it there which is quite often. I will never step foot in this place again I will wait for the Fish Shack to open and I will go there for a meal because I have never gotten a bad meal there & supposedly both restaurants are owned by the same family. And when I went back to get sauce for the bread pudding they were extremely rude!!!

Old school Florida. Great atmosphere. The food was very good. The whole Yellowtail Snapper was delicious. Try the bread pudding. Definitely would recommend.

It’s a favorite of the locals. And I love this restaurant more than any other restaurant in the entire free world. That is a high bar, my friends. I would eat here every day if I were able. There is no better fresh fish in all of south Florida and that is not opinion - that is a stone fact.
