Wow. wow. wow. Simply put- WOW! Do not judge this book by the cover as it is located in a very small low key plaza. When you 1st walk in- the small cafe ambiance and rustic decor embraces you with heavenly scents from the kitchen. You soon forget everyone else around when the Italian wine and food arrive. We indulged with delight on fresh baked panna cotta, fried burrata that melts in your mouth, rich and succulent lobster ravioli, amazing and flavorful chicken mushroom pappardelle and a finale of wonderful limoncello mascarpone cake. When we paid our tab we were making reservations for our next visit. Everything is made fresh from scratch daily and the owners take pride in everything the do and it shows. Can't wait to get back soon!
I stumbled across this wonderful restaurant while looking through yelp for restaurant ideas. I am so happy I did! This place is definitely a hidden gem - don’t be discouraged by the location or prices, they are so worth it. The food is amazing, fresh, and everything is homemade. The menu changes daily or weekly according to local ingredients. My boyfriend and I had such a great time and Emilia, one of the owners and our waitress, was such a pleasure to talk to. The chef, the other owner, came out as well to check on us. We had the caprese appetizer, which was a fresh ball of burrata over tomato, and shared the veal Parmesan (veal was so tender) with homemade pasta and the cacio e pepe pasta. We also split a bottle of moscato and sampled a red wine that we loved (all imported from Italy). For dessert, my boyfriend got the afoggato and loved it! This dinner and experience made our entire vacation memorable. We will definitely be back when we come back to the area!
Don't let the mini-mall location fool you. This is the real deal, the chef (from Sicily) and his family man the front and back of the house and dish out some of the best pasta you'll find anywhere. The menu changes weekly or even daily and is kept on large chalkboards across one wall. Despite the mini-mall location, the inside is warm and inviting, the service is spectacular. The cacio e pepe is my favorite, not as dry as you may be used to, but you'll want more bread to soak up the sauce. They also do a sausage and mushroom pasta that is a marriage made in heaven. If it's not pasta you're after, the chicken parm is so tender you can cut it with a fork and it almost melts in your mouth. And don't miss the cannoli. The one slight drawback to all the praise is that it is a bit pricey for pasta.
Go early, make a reservation, don't show up near closing hoping to eat at this 7 table treasure - you'll be too late! This treasure is as authentic as it gets! EVERYTHING was delicious, made from scratch and it's obvious this is a labor of love in this family owned place you should not miss!!
One of the best Italian restaurant's I have been to in South Florida. Everything was perfect. It is a hidden gem . I highly recommend it.
I am reading these reviews and I am shocked. We went here with the family on a Sunday night and the whole meal was awful-truly disappointing. I cannot believe we paid for this experience!!! One waiter was trying to take care of the whole dining room. He was the only front of staff person who spoke English. I am not being a stinker, try to explain to someone who can't understand you that something is missing or they served the wrong thing. Every twenty mins or so the waiter would come around and try to fix what had come out wrong or been completely forgotten- and he forgot a lot! 1. We couldn't get drinks. When we did there were not enough, coffee was accidentally served as ice tea with a lemon, and there were no napkins or silverware for the table. 2. The wait to be helped was very long and then when it was time for the appetizers we got 2 out of the 3 we ordered. 3. Also, Ceasar salad should not be made with iceberg lettuce, and should be tossed. Not an inadequate squirt of dressing on the top- and there should be a plate to serve it onto. 4. Finally dinner showed up. Everyone who got pizza was happy-it was good I tried some while I waited 20 mins for my food. The food did not come out all together but in waves, so it took a while for us to realize they had forgotten my son's meal. 5. Anyone not having pizza was disappointed. 6. Lasania should have cheese, actually it should have a few kinds of cheese- including ricotta. And if you reheat it too long the noodles turn to mush. The whole table tried to just make the best of the situation, enjoy the good company. But eventually the never ending meal wore us down. You could not pay me to come back and repeat the experience.
We have eaten at this restaurant several times. Each time we go, the food is more delicious than the last visit. It is authentic, made to order, and oh so yummy! The menu changes daily and no matter what you order, you will be thrilled with your choice. The service is kind, competent, and perfect. Enjoy your dinner!
Truly a dining night out! I cant believe this place has been in my neighborhood 5 years and it took me this long to discover it! Don't miss out like i have...MAKE A RESERVATION NOW!! Delicious
Our appetizers were utter perfection! Burrata was fresh, creamy and the fried calamari was fresh and lightly dusted and fried. Our chicken parmigiana was delicious. The owners panna cotta is not to be missed. . . So light and refreshing. This restaurant and the couple that own, cook and run it are a true find!
The food is phenomenal! This little place reminded me of a little place my husband and I visit in Italy... I would highly recommend this place to any one who is in the Fort Lauderdale area... Staff was great! I love the fact the menu changes weekly to ensure everything is fresh.

Portions are good...food is delicious...and the service impeccable..
Love the food here and the hospitality. Love the fact that the food is all fresh and picked out based on quality. Everything is made in house, including salad dressing and of course the taste is great. If you're looking for Italian food, this is the spot you want to check out!
Unforgettable and magical. Truly it is no exaggeration that our meal at Casareccio was one of the most perfect meals I have ever had. This small restaurant has created an experience that brings together fresh decadent food with the feeling of being in a mother or grandmother’s kitchen. Not even in our travels throughout Italy did we have food made with such love and passion. With a menu that changes to match the fresh ingredients of the day you will always be pushed to try something new. Our meal started with fresh bread and a mixed vegetable tapenade that our table attempted to lick the small bowl clean. For appetizers we shared the Fried Burrata, Charred Octopus, and Stuffed Artichoke. The octopus was fork cutting tender with the perfect slightly crusty char on the outside. Our artichoke was bursting with a delicious mix of Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, and breadcrumbs that soaked up the lemony olive oil sauce. Our party fought over the artichoke heart. For dinner we had the Chicken Parmesan, Mushroom Parpadella, and Lobster Ravioli. I would never expect Chicken Parm to be elevated to the perfection it was this evening. The chicken was perfectly moist and tender with a crispy but not dry breading covered in fresh mozzarella and Casareccio’s homemade tomato sauce. The sauce is pure heaven bursting with brightness. The mushroom parpadella was rich and earthy brimming with beautiful mushrooms and truffles. While I did not taste the Lobster Ravioli, those who did commented on how it tasted of fresh caught lobster and a truly delicious bisque sauce. For dessert we had the Tartufo, the Affogato, and the Homemade Chocolate Cake. Unlike commercialized tartufo, this homemade version was rolled in cocoa powder versus the heavy hard chocolate coating. This allowed the combination of vanilla and chocolate ice cream plus hazelnuts really shine without it being so sickeningly rich as many other restaurants. The Affogato featured freshly made Espresso that filled our table with that smooth and delicious smell that we all love. The chocolate cake was decadent and moist but not overly rich. The addition of the mocha in the mouse was the perfect balance and I appreciated the hefty serving of vanilla ice cream that came with it.I find it unbelievable that this restaurant is not on the cover of every food magazine in South Florida as it is easily the best in the area if not the state. We are from the Sarasota and Tampa area but would seriously consider driving the 4 hours for another meal here. All we can say is thank you for an experience we will never forget! If you are in the area, there should be no other restaurant on your list than Casariccio.Thank you all for the incredible meal!Matt, Chance, Lori, and Jay from Sarasota

The minute you walk in the decor and ambiance feels very authentic and traditional. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was absolutely delicious you can taste the quality in all of her ingredients from the olive oil to the tomato sauce to the artichoke. Amelia gives the absolute BEST customer service, having a spot of oil in my shirt she brought me baking soda to soak it up. Absolutely 10/10 would recommend. If I come back to Fort Lauderdale I will be back!
