Ive only been fortunate enough to try Cuban food a few times. When I knew I was coming to the area it was my mission to find a great homemade feel Cuban restaurant and even though this is in a mall food court it felt like I was eating in someone's kitchen. The staff were polite and friendly. Thanks you all for a great and affordable meal

Authentic Cuban food... in a mall food court? Who knew a gem like this existed in the heart of Broward Mall! Cedeno’s Cuban Café completely surprised me.
From the moment I walked up, the staff was incredibly friendly—welcoming, patient, and genuinely eager to help. The menu had a variety of home-style Cuban dishes, and the prices? Absolutely jaw-dropping (in the best way).
I ordered the daily special: goat stew with three sides—all for just $9.99. Yes, you read that right. My sides were lentil soup, sweet plantains, and yucca. The goat was perfectly tender and full of rich flavor. The lentil soup was comforting and hearty, and the sweet plantains were caramelized just right. The yucca was the only thing that fell a bit flat—I personally like mine tossed with sautéed garlic for that extra flavor punch.
I also couldn’t resist trying one chicken and one beef empanada. They were HUGE—seriously, each one was the size of my head—and both were crispy on the outside and generously filled.
Final thoughts:
Cedeno’s offers flavor, hospitality, and value all in one spot. It’s not every day you find food that tastes homemade, served with heart, and priced under $10. Whether you're in the mall shopping or just craving authentic Cuban comfort food, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. A true hidden gem in an unexpected place

5 well-deserved stars for Cedeño’s Cuban Café at Broward Mall! I ordered chicken with rice and sweet plantains—everything was spectacular, homemade, and full of flavor. The service was excellent, friendly, and fast. Definitely a place to come back to!

My daughter goes to college near by and whenever we come down to move her in or out, I have to stop at Cedeno's. The people are amazing and the food is too. Make the time to try their authentic Cuban offerings! You won't regret it!

The pork with rice and beans are always perfect. Seems like the recipe might have changed but still very tasty!

In passing by the food court at the Broward Mall in Plantation, I spotted this much-needed Cuban food eatery! They have a varied menu of all the Cuban favorites, so it was hard to make my selection without being glutinous. The attendant was very pleasant and helpful. I opted for something quick to go: chicken croquettes (made with béchamel sauce), an Iron Beer soda, and a tres leches. It was a better-than-good experience and I want to go back and have an actual meal there.

I order the breaded steak with yellow rice, black beans and sweet plantains... black beans were plain, yellow rice hard, plantains was the only thing that it was ok. The steak horrible, it was like a piece of hard leather and not sure how they breaded the steak because the crust came off intact...never again

I stumbled upon Cedeno’s after shopping at the Broward Mall. It was late and I wanted to eat, but didn’t want the usual fast food options. I was pleasantly surprised by my meal. The food was fresh and delicious. I would argue it rivaled the food at some of the local big name Cuban restaurants at about half the cost. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered me different sauces to try with my meal. I won’t hesitate to eat there during my next trip to the mall.

Ordered these food for my grandma and paid $19 for these junks.
Was supposed to be “skirt steak” but it’s just a dry, very salty piece of thing that looks like someone’s leftover food.
What was supposed to be “empanada” was very dry and thinnest one I’ve ever seen in my life. And where is the meat?
Quality is horrible. Definitely not worth it.
Threw them away immediately and bought other quality food. Not sure how they have the good reviews, probably from those that just want cheap food, not about the good quality.

I recently placed a large order for my entire production team of 18 after a long and busy day, and I’m unbelievably happy that I stumbled upon Cedeno’s. The restaurant called to clarify a few details, which I always appreciate, especially with big orders. Not only was the meal incredibly satisfying, but every single one of my team members was happy—and that’s a rare case! With our new warehouse not too far from Cedeno’s, I can see this becoming a go to spot for us. You have a new fan. Thank you so so much.
