I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered the goat biryani and specifically asked the server if the meat would be tender. I was assured that it would be—but unfortunately, that was far from the truth. The goat meat was extremely hard, almost rock-like, and very difficult to chew, which completely ruined the dish. On top of that, the service was not up to the mark. Overall, the food quality did not match what was promised, and the service lacked attentiveness. I would not recommend the goat biryani here, and this experience has seriously affected my impression of the restaurant.Hope hotel management looks into it

I’ve eaten here more than 20 times, and Deccan Spice is hands-down the best Indian restaurant in South Florida. The food is consistently outstanding — rich, authentic flavors, perfectly spiced dishes, and generous portions every single visit. Whether it’s classic curries, biryani, or their appetizers, nothing misses.

The cocktails are also a standout, which is rare for Indian restaurants. Thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and actually pair well with the food — not just an afterthought.

I’d strongly encourage people to ignore the vague, generic one-star reviews floating around online. They read like automated posts with no real detail or context and don’t reflect the real experience at all. Anyone who actually eats here knows the quality, care, and consistency this place delivers. It’s unfortunate when amazing, family-owned restaurants get caught up in that kind of noise.

If you want incredible Indian food, great drinks, and a place that delivers every time — this is it.

Biryani is so bad that we wanted to leave Miami early.

We were a group of 8, and every single one of us shared the same opinion. It felt like nothing more than plain rice with a starter mixed in. For the prices they charge, this was unacceptable. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves.

We celebrated our kid’s 3rd birthday at Deccan Spice, Pompano Beach, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! We had friends and family with us, and the staff went above and beyond to make everything smooth and stress-free. They were extremely helpful and supportive, especially with rearranging the seating to give us enough space for party decorations, which we truly appreciated.

The food was amazing—flavorful and loved by everyone in our group. Every dish was spot on. The service, hospitality, and overall vibe made our celebration extra special.

Highly recommend Deccan Spice for family gatherings, celebrations, or even a regular dining visit. Overall experience: 10/10! 👏🍽️🎉

This was my first time coming here and my first time trying this type of food, and they made it an unforgettable experience. The food was exceptional; fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Everything tasted amazing and exceeded my expectations. The servers were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. My husband and I have been long time clients of Deccan (maybe since they opened?) but we usually order take out. It's one of our favorite places and our go-to Indian restaurant.

Last night we decided to dine in and everyone was super friendly and the food was delicious, as usual. The restaurant has nice vibes and feels more upscale when dining in.

Don't miss out on the cauliflower 65 as an appetizer!

Their food is really bad and the way the guy talking to customers is unacceptable. They are just blaming on the uber driver for the wrong item delivered. Food is not good at all. They definitely do not know how to cook. They are better off shutting it down immediately.

I love the food here it is totally desi, some dishes make me feel like I am in Hyderabad. I love the buffet it is so affordable with vide verity and live dosa, pani puri stations. I specially love the appetizers and biryani which is a must try.

2 roaches seen just last night as i was dining there with some friends, one came from under the table to the top, if thats in the dining room i domt even want to imajine the back where food is preped !! We walked out and never again !!
