Wish I lived closer!! Applause to the Pastry Chef!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼She is a gem! 💎🤩 My family and I visited on Saturday 4/19. Your place is so perfect in every way. And the poise and control of the dining room shows the teamwork it takes and yall run a well oiled, attentive, delicious, fresh and welcoming place!! Truly a GEM!! 😍 My Brother will be back Tuesday 4/22 for a bunch of your amazingly succulent CinnaGEMbuns! They are so fluffy, and gooey with an exceptional crusted bottom that gives it that extra sweetness, and then with the most incredible drizzles! 🤤The homemade touch to all of it was so phenomenal! Thank you for all the hard work and the hours of love and time on your feet to give us the most delicious fresh made English muffins with a lightness and crunch matched to none!! 😁 My family was grieving that morning having breakfast there as we were in town for a funeral and I cannot tell you how much your place lifted our spirits with the warm, homemade comfort foods..we are still talking about it today! ☺️ Big 👏🏼 to everyone that served us. I will definitely be back the next time we are in town. 💛
Gem is our favorite go to spot for breakfast or lunch. The food is amazing, you have to try their fresh baked breads (including the English muffins) and they have homemade cinnamon buns as big as the plate! The family run business is the best kept secret in Broward!
The Gem always maintains consistency! Great food friendly staff in an intimate setting!
We live in Ft Lauderdale and drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant. It was excellent and we will return. Had breakfast for lunch and the omelettes were large enough to share. Heavily loaded with veggies, meat and cheese. Try their combos or create your own. Vegan friendly and gluten free bread available. Don't count calories for this meal and order the homemade English muffin with your eggs and also the (gargantuan) cinnamon bun ( easily feeds 4). This Mom and Pop location in an unpretentious strip center is clean and welcoming inside Don't drive up, and judge by the exterior.
Had a very good eggs Benedict, corned beef hash and sausage gravy. Over all good service, nice clean place. Little pricey but will go back
Excellent choices and service. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Get a blueberry muffin and have them toast it, you will so happy!
Perfect place for brunch. The selections were amazing and most is made from scratch in-house. Our party of 6 had 6 different meals and they were all great!
Don’t miss this great breakfast/lunch spot if you’re in the area! We had a variety of foods in our group of six and all were fantastic. Don’t miss the selection of homemade breads, muffins and cookies.
We came here to eat breakfast and was first in line on a wait. Some regular customers came in after us and were immediately taken to a table and we were told to wait till another table opened. We left. I have been a served for 16 years and you just don't do that
They are not fast and they say so, but they are very good. Great coffee. We all had breakfast and made to order. Super nice people. The only negative is they cleaned the tables with Fabuloso. i am glad they are very clean, but that smell doesn't compliment the food.

The owners were taking our order and cooking our food. They were friendly and fun, happy to be there and the food was delicious. Thanks for having us! Hopefully we'll see you again!
A a big shout out to Gem Eatery in Margate. This small family-owned eatery is only open for breakfast and lunch. The service is a tad slow but that is because everything is made from scratch and the servings are huge. I did not mind the wait especially since the reward was worth every bite. The service is amazing. You must try the gigantic cinnamon bun large enough for 3 people. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee is smooth and not acidic at all, I enjoyed 2 cups, hubby had 4. The homemade English muffins were extra-large, fresh, and tasty. This is a must for all of us and would be quite a gesture as we support our neighborhood eateries. Laurie does all of the baking at the facility and her husband Tony is the man behind the delicious meals. We plan to return and plan to try the smothered home fries. I give Gem Eatery 5 Stars and am proud the say that its right here in our neck of the woods.
We had a nice, quiet breakfast early on a Friday morning after school drop off. We were the first ones there. Staff was attentive and helpful. When I started to look at some the posted signs and info about local community, they were happy to chat about charities they support and history of the restaurant. We ordered pancakes, the Gem breakfast sandwich and half order of biscuits and gravy. All was yummy, you could tell it was homemade and fresh, piping hot too which is my favorite! We also took one of their famous giant cinnamon rolls home for the kids, it looks divine!! All in all, a pleasant breakfast for two tired parents.
It's about time somebody did breakfast right! I don't use these platforms to complain about restaurants you got enough people nitpicking. I only take the time to communicate when and entrepreneur takes the time and effort to do it right. The Gem Eatery is 10 to 10 for me. Husband and wife team really knock it out the park, everything from scratch, the cutest restaurant with great atmosphere & attention to detail. tables Immaculate, real butter, real eggs, in house biscuits, muffins, and Cinnabons, plus real customer service & southern hospitality not to mention the food was phenomenal w/ hot coffee. With so many Concepts having/choosing to cut cost and Corners it's extremely noticeable that the GEM is sticking true to Quality ingredients and quality service. If you go on the weekend expect awake but if you won't complain about waiting 5 hours for an iPhone don't complain about waiting 30 min to sit for excellent homemade from scratch food that you can tast. I think Quality it's worth the wait, and REAL quality takes time. So says ME !!-CHEF D We will be back!!
