We did take out from here yesterday. I was almost in tears as it’s the first good Chinese food I’ve eaten in five years. We live in Boca and have tried every place there, would not return anywhere. May’s was wonderful! Nothing was soggy, or too sweet, or too small of a portion. Best General Tso’s chicken I’ve ever had. And the Mongolian beef and dumplings were very good too! So happy!

🤮😷🤢 The General Tso chicken had pieces of fried pad Thai noodles in it!! 🤮 I don’t think they use meat. Just flavored mushed, fried products. 🤮 This place has had MANY encounters with health inspectors and have been on Dirty Dining more than once!! 🤢 Just google them 🤮Did you ever see their kind eating there? Never!! Not even on their lunch breaks.

This is the best Chinese food I have ever had!!! They have fast free delivery, they are open everyday from 11am-10pm except on Tuesday they are closed. But let's talk about the big full portions they serve. I got the house lo mein and it had every veggie and big pieces that were perfect and crunchy. The shrimp, beef and chicken were big pieces and a whole bunch too! Hot and the flavor was impressive. I'm telling you, you will not be disappointed!

I have been ordering from Mays for 20 years. Rumor has it, was sold or under new management-asked them. Evasive answer. Called at 520p for a small delivery order tonite. 7p still no food and lip service. Told them to just cancel the cold food delivery. Called 3 times - driver 2 minutes away blah blah blah. Hate to say it, but avoid it u want food within the hour.

My friend decided to do Sunday dinner here & the food did not disappoint. The beef lowmein so tender so flavorful, the orange chicken was lightly battered and delicious, the general to’s & garlic shrimp were delicious but not my favorite. The honey garlic sauce is light & not too sweet it was satisfying & overwhelming. Over all the food was fresh, delicious 🤤 & I’ll definitely be back.

They are a busy location and like the only local Chinese restaurants that has very good food, for a take out place. There really aren’t enough really good food Chinese restaurants in the east side of pompano except them. But lately something has gone down, like quality of service. Make sure you check your order before you leave. The last two times I’ve have gone in and ordered food, it was missing sauce that goes with the dish, or they didn’t include the egg rolls and soup that also go with the dish. So you have to turn around and go back to get the rest of your order. A bit inconvenient, but you should get what you pay for. Again you’re hard pressed to find a very good Chinese restaurant in the area and you feel stuck with them after having a few bad experiences. I can’t speak for other customers who walk up and order, but this might be the one customer they lost for poor service and not checking to make sure the customer is getting their correct order without an argument!

2nd time here. Yesterday I ordered General Tso chicken with house special fried frice. My rice contains 3.3 pieces of shrimp ( 3 shrimp & 3 shrimp pieces) THE CHICKEN, was not chicken!!!!! It’s like some mushed plastic or something cooked in flour. It was unchewable. I kept eating it trying to figure out what the substance was. It was good in the beginning, but the more I ate, the more I was finding pieces that could not be broken down and chewed. I tried pulling or breaking it apart and it’s like hard plastic or something. I find this extremely strange AND when I searched google to leave this review, my search bar said Mays Kitchen dirty dining 🤢🤢🤢

First let me say that this Chinese restaurant has been around since I moved to Florida in 1991. I have traveled miles, city to city to get food from this Chinese restaurant. When I lived in Pompano, I would go to Mays kitchen 2 to 3 times a week. I've moved and cannot go as often as I'd like. But when I do get a chance I'm there at Mays kitchen ordering food. The one guy that takes my order knows that it's me cause I always order the same thing. Yet he takes my order as if it was the first time I ever ordered. He's a nice looking guy too. And friendly. Bottom line. I think this is the BEST Chinese restaurant in Florida. For me the price was $53. Only because, I order what I want to eat. The prices are reasonable. The only thing they don't do is give you the free soup or egg roll like they use too. But that's not enough to stop me from going there. Plus I'm from NY and am used to Chinese food like this. The only thing they don't have is shrimp toast and Szechuan shrimp made with only shrimp, and a spicy white sauce with white rice. Otherwise, I'd be ordering that along with what I do order. Every time. For this place to be open for 34 years that I know of. Speaks volumes and says a lot.
