Nelson’s is just what one would expect from a small local diner. Good food served quickly. Good service. Plenty of coffee. Locals who are known by name. Friendly atmosphere. I eat breakfast here a couple of times a month.

Ordered online and called right after to add one item. Woman on the phone didn’t let me finish my sentence and interrupted with “I can’t help you. We’re packed and you’re secondary to the people here you’re going to have to figure it out.” Then they preceded to forget half of my order. I payed $70 for the picture below. I heard good things about this place but the food I did get was mediocre.

Two days before flying back to the UK, after spending a month eating out at different good breakfast diner's, we were so grateful to finally find the very best diner we had visited in the Pompano/Fort Lauderdale areas, NELSON'S DINER! Not only friendly helpful staff serving you, with the best hot breakfast you could wish for, but we were so grateful to meet the owner, Kent, who is the nicest person you could wish to come across, running this diner to perfection! See you next time my friend, it was a pleasure to visit this clean five star diner.

Wow! Wish we'd found this place sooner. Have been staying at John Knox to clean out an apartment & needed breakfast. Food was great & quick. Loved the decor. Wish we were going to be in the area again. Would definitely go back.
