Restaurant around 2 pm
As I enter I see no one but I her conversation in the
back ,I said hello is any one here,no response, I waited again I said Hello
,no response, so I walk out,The main reason that I went there was to Patronize, Lamar being a Black business, also we attended the same church RWCCI,Some Black business owners complain about not Patronizing them ,When you get that type of service ,people in the back talking, with no response,,I give them 0 stars

Best of the best soul food I’ve ever had!!

I ordered collard greens and macaroni and cheese and it was as hands down the best I have ever ate! Have you eight yet? Yes I have! and it was simply the best and delicious! I will be definitely back! Also I felt a blessed atmosphere by the lady that took my order! plus she so kindly threw in some awesome corn bread! I was truly blessed that day!

I was so disappointed! Ordered pork chop sandwich. It was on untoasted bread, mayo wasn’t even spread, and there was a BONE in the pork chop! For a sandwich. Pork chop was also undercooked.

The food was subpar at best. The smothered pork chops had no seasoning, the yams tasted like they came from a can along with the collard greens (they had lots of stems). My aunt had fried pork chops and they were not cooked all the way through. I called the restaurant to let them know and the lady on the phone was really rude. “You can call the manager on Friday and you have a blessed day” and, then she hung up on me.

We were very excited to try the restaurant out since Lamar is from this area. Needless to say, we won’t be going back. Reading some of these reviews, I would think someone from management should be there on a regular basis or pop in unannounced.

they open and close when they feel like it. there's been at least five times, well during business hours, when I have called and received no answer, and have gone to the restaurant to find it closed.

Good food I got the turkey wings and mystery drink. Little on the sweet side but good

Let's start with we walked in and we waited over 15 mins for someone to come out to speak and sit us. We are finally sited we ordered the food was HORRIBLE and that's me being nice.

My sister's lemon pepper chicken was not seasoned per her it was very bland. The rice and corn bread was dry. The shrimp was mad small and hard as hell definitely overcooked.

My mom ordered chicken that wasn't fully cooked. My dad had pork chop that was hard. Their food went in the trash.

My children had burgers and chicken tenders. They said the only thing that was good was the fries. My cousin had rice and shrimp dinner again rice was very dry, yams was super sweet, shrimp hard, mac & cheese super bland.

I'm not sure what the rest of my party (3 people) but they said they would never return to this restaurant. I also ordered food to go the order was COMPLETELY WRONG plus the drink was not put in the bag. I called them the first 5 times no answer, call 6 I got a answer and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back 3 times no answer. I called Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday more than 3 times each day. I finally got a answer on Friday and the person that answer said to call back at 6pm. I called back at 6 and 6:30 no answer.

I will never return to this place. When I ordered here a few times before it was amazing. I don't know what happened.

Food wasn’t the best. I had pork chops beans and rice candies yams and mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was blend no season and the rice the the chop was great and the candies yams

When I tell you this place is so good.I felt like I was eating out of my mother's kitchen DELICIOUS!! I had collard greens, rice, Turkey wings and yams! They did not disappoint at all.I definitely will be coming back and such good hospitality so sweet. Not expensive at all!! Check them out! Best soul food I've had so far!
