Food was great - can't go wrong with southern cooking. The service, however, was terrible. Nothing came out together. And it wasn't even that crowded, at all.

Our new spot when we come to Fort Lauderdale! Was amazed at what all you get for the price! Finding South Bar & Kitchen was the best part of my bday staycation! I truly believe if we stayed closer to that area we would eat here every week. The music was on point- 90s and 00s R&B. The biscuits deviled eggs and crab beignets were my favorite menu items! Still bragging about this place a whole day later! Just go check it out!

Amazing experience! We sat outside and they even had a little table fan to keep the flies away. The food was best ever. We had the grilled fish catch of the day. So tasty. Of course we had the buttermilk biscuits for appetizer, and omg! So good! Dessert was the seasonal one for the day, a “donut like” meringue filled puff. Delicious 😋. The live music was top notch, guitar instrumentals of 70's music- LOVE!! Will definitely go back soon

The reviews are very misleading in regards to the food. The atmosphere and decor were nice. However, the food was horrible. I would not recommend this place if you're visiting from out of state.

We went as a party of two. Parking is free. Made a reservation the night before over the phone because the website said there weren't any spots available for the morning. We arrived at 11:30am, at that time its only the $52 brunch option. You get small portions of any brunch selections for a 2hr time period. I didn't try everything, but the sweet potato waffle and the crab beignet were my favorites. Steak & eggs and hash browns were my least favorites. There wasn't any salt and pepper or condiments on the table. We went on a Sunday morning, and the DJ was setting up as we were leaving. So come after 1pm on Sundays for a lively crowd.

This restaurant is fabulous! The outdoor seating is so nice. Loved the Big tree! We ate there twice durIng our weeks vacation. Once for dinner & one for the Sunday Brunch. The brybch was expensive, but delicious. Everything we ate was great. The live band on the 3rd Friday was really good. Try the crab cake beneits. Parking across the street.

Some is overly seasoned and some is not seasoned at all. Very hit or miss. I ordered the short rib and grits, but my colleagues ordered a bunch of other dishes from the menu and the reviews were up and down. We had exceptional service, so I gave two stars. And they had a live saxophone player which was a huge plus, but the food falls short.
