Wonderful donuts, but not having the employees wash their hands in between customers or changing their gloves is unacceptable for the next customer to see. Handling the cash register & money with the same gloves on isn’t acceptable. Overall my family love the glazed donuts.
Nice people, but proper hand hygiene can go along way.

Extremely excellent and can't wait to go to Abbe's again. I would share pictures of the donuts I bought, but I ate them too quickly snd almost swallowed my phone in the process. Abbe's donuts are an out-of-this-world sugar-infused rocket ship launch into orgasmic food heaven. When the super sweet offerings first touch your lips, your body goes into some kind of adrenaline kick and you crave more. Every nerve in your body begins tingling like the frosting is nuclear weapons grade material and you are ground zero. The next bite helps you to see God as the colors become more vivid and the clouds part to let the Sun shine directly upon you. By the third bite, the donut is finished and you are ready to lay back and smoke a cigarette, but, you can't, because you gotta have more. After you finish your donuts, the memory of their touch upon you still lingers. The sweet sugar on your fingers, that you keep licking, already calling you to go back to the shop. Then you go into a sugar coma. But as you drift off you realize you just had the best donut experience of your life and no other donut shop will ever compare with Abbe's.

Ridiculously good donut! I've never had a better apple fritter. My wife had something they call a French Wisp donut and they actually pulled the donut out of the case and then add vanilla cream filling and toppings. It was delicious. The people here are extremely accommodating and friendly. I can't believe we waited this long to check it out. We will definitely be back again and again.

These donuts are soooo good! I was really impressed. They are fluffy, made with love, not overly sweet donuts. The zebra donut was amazingly delicious and so fun! The jelly filled and Boston cream were stuffed with filling! It was the best filling to donut ratio I’ve ever had. I can’t say enough great things about these donuts. I will be back I’m going to crave these now

Great little donut shop for chocolate eclairs and apple fritters. Prices are reasonable and to my surprise they now take credit cards. Highly recommend this little donut shop if you're ever in Port Charlotte.

One of the best donuts I've ever had. I got the sugar twist and apple filled with maple icing. They just melt in your mouth. Cash only but they do have an ATM. Highly recommend.

The donuts look amazing, I wasn’t able to try them unfortunately I only have credit cards and Apple Pay, hopefully someday they can start accepting them! Will have to give these donuts a try in the future when I have cash.

Blueberry fritters are the best. My wife loves the lemon filled. A trip here is always a treat.

We ended up not going in. Cash only sign in door - ATM available. Why not just take card payment and pass the xx cents merchant fee on to the customer?! Who carries cash. Not using an ATM to be charged an extra $3 by my bank AND a ATM fee just for some donuts.

Not bad but not great. Expensive and only can use cash. They say it's because of high charges but they put in a atm that charges there customers but not them. As a business owner myself that's poor business. You box yourself in doing that. I wish them well. This is not a knock to them just my thoughts.

This shop is not at all modern, it has a very old-fashioned vibe, and you can definitely tell it's more of a mom-and-pop store. That said, the prices for their doughnuts are very fair! My only complaint is they only accept cash, but their doughnuts are some of the best in Port Charlotte! 😋 If you haven't had a doughnut from Abbe's Donut, you should go! They're very original and tasteful, and they really put a lot of care into the food. 😍 My personal favorites are the big cinnamon rolls and the glazed doughnuts with chocolate and coconut drizzle! Their customer service is phenomenal! 👍 The atmosphere is a little old-fashioned, but the food and service are amazing! The doughnuts are cooked fresh daily! 🍩 They open early and close around noon, so be an early bird! 🐦
