I really love Chinese food however this place was the most horrible experience I've ever had. I wont recommend this place. I order hot and sour soup and it was gooey. I asked the lady which she have the terrible attitude I asked for spicy sauce she was mad and even roll her eyes. The employees were mad that I was the restaurant. Really bad experience. I will never buy from this place.

Absolutely gross brown sauce, like its out of a jug and slimy. Ordered from them before and they were ok but tried them again and got some hideous food. Trust me, as a NY guy that knows Chinese food maybe just get an egg roll here.

Definitely food has changed not as good delivery was very fast but the fantail shrimp in my opinion were quite ridiculous don't know if this is normal with some but the breading was huge like size of my hand and the shrimp were tiny Im used to the butterfly type of breaded shrimp with like 15 in a bag but got 3 of these weird over battered greasy ting shrimp aswell as the chicken didn't seem to bee cooked enough and the overall meals smell wasn't pleasant got a general TSO and sesame chicken meal and both smell like rotten eggs everytime we ope the Container

Having lived in the Fort Myers area, we couldn't find a decent Chinese Restaurant. While in Port Charlotte area, my husband located China City. We tried it and discovered how delicious it was! We began a weekly trip from Fort Myers to get lunch or dinner. There are a couple of tables so you are able to dine in should you choose to. We now live 40 mins north of China City and we drive to Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area twice a month and when we do we stop at China City. The Sweet & Sour Sauce is the best I've ever had. Egg Rolls also very good. Selections we've tried are: General Tso Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, Sweet & Sour Shrimp, Sweet & Sour Pork, Beef with Mushrooms. This restaurant also delivers within a certain area.

Places like this truly deliver fresh-from-scratch cooking, unlike chain restaurants that make the claim. First time picking up take out from this Chinese restaurant by Ollie’s. Vegetarians can get anything they desire. Meat eaters have choices of chicken, pork, beef or shrimp. The kitchen is open and visible. The entire location is spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were told 15 minutes and food was ready in time. We’ll definitely be back!

We have ordered delivery several times. Every time the service has been incredibly fast, but NO DELIVERY FEE! Not to mention their food is very delicious, even the yellow rice. Very happy them.

The great reviews I read must come from people not familiar with authentic Chinese food. I've been exposed to two excellent Chinese restaurants over the years, one shut down years ago and more recently one stopped delivering food. So I thought I'd give China City a try. The egg rolls were mostly dough except one of them ( I ordered 2) had a strange tasting vegetable in it. That one I pitched. The Pork fried rice was substandard.. yellow rice with a bit of veggies and minute amounts of pork. I'd have been embarrassed to sell it as pork fried rice. The krab rattoon appetizers were more fried dough than anything else which made it hard to taste the filling and the boneless ribs were unrecognizable. The flavor was OK, definitely not BBQ, although on the menu it just said boneless ribs- The bone in ribs were BBQ so I guess I expected the boneless ribs would be the same. In comparison to the other Chinese Restaurants I have enjoyed, there is no comparison. I don't recommend this Chinese food.

If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I ordered delivery yesterday, 2/4/2023. Delivery was on time, gave the driver generous tip. The food was delicious! Even the yellow rice was scrumptious. And, all this food for a very reasonable price. Pu Pu Platter, very generous, Sweet and Sour chicken combo, and General Tso chicken. No fee for delivery!

Honestly the best Chinese take out in Port Charlotte. I go out if my way to get their spring rolls and egg rolls...and omg if you like Crab Rangoon seriously try this place out. So sweet and creamy. I wont order from anywhere else in town.

Worst Chinese food me and my husband have ever had. Extremely disappointed in every single item. I have never seen such an opposite of what I have always had of Great Chinese food. Which was such a shame because I was really looking forward to it. I have yet in the past 5 yrs tried any local places since moving here from North Port.. and all I can say is Stay Away! All the meats were dried out so bad it was rock hard, PuPu platter there was nothing good besides the chicken wing, crab rangoon had no crab that I could see or taste & was so grossly sweet it was nasty, I have never seen a shrimp toast like what we got and it tasted like they threw something together and wrapped it in a wonton and fried it, steam dumplings I have no idea where they scrapped up that sauce from but it was so waterdown and had no taste what so ever... that is just a few grips. A complete Never Again from Us... Save your money and go to the Buffet place near Neighborhood Walmart ... I have seen pictures of their food and it looks great and it is said to taste like what you pay for!!!! 45 bucks down drain (garbage) in food, not the time to be wasting food either!!! One star because at least delivery was on time, not the delivery persons fault the food sucked.
