I’ve been a customer of China Wok for over 20 years and although I now live in Sarasota I would still order food from China Wok…until today. The quality of the food is not them same. I would compare this food to that you would get in the food court at the Port Charlotte Towncenter for half the price. I am very disappointed to see this once great restaurant offer such low quality food on their menu. The people of Port Charlotte deserve better. As for me China Wok lost a 20+ year customer.

I would give -1000 stars I got 2 cookies and one fortune one cookie was empty how do I get a fortuneless cookie and the other cookie was talking about august which was last month so I got sum old cookie

The orange chicken had a weird after taste the lomein tasted like shrimp I ordered the regular not shrimp I do not like shrimp that lowkey ruined my night the gyoza/fried dumplings where the best part it was not worth 50 dollars

The food was soooo good and it only took about 10 minutes which is pretty good for chinese but the atmosphere was not good at all. The employees yell “ARE YOU PICKING UP” every time a guest walks through the door which is not professional and it makes it seem like I’m an inconvenience if I didn’t preorder. The girl in the front with glasses was pretty rude and probably the worst service I’ve received in a while…if you don’t like your job then find something that you love, don't make everyone else miserable. Also they forgot a part of our order so yeah honestly I’m gonna go here again because the food doesn’t disappoint but we gotta get the team together 💪

Been ordering food from this place for nearly 20 years. Always the best Chinese in town until last year 2023-2024ish, food quality has sadly gone down the drain.
I thought it was a fluke at first, bad batch of chicken or something, but repeatedly all their chicken, rice, etc is all just worse. Terrible aftertaste on some of it. I just don’t understand what happened, maybe new owners or something. So sad.

I'm so sad because this used to be my favorite Chinese food place, but something has changed with the food and it is not for the better. We order from China Wok a few times a month and the last couple of orders were disappointing at best. I loved the fried rice before, but they have started adding yellow curry to it and it is completely different than it used to be. The last time we ordered it was so over seasoned with curry that it was gritty and inedible and we threw out most of the carton. My husband used to love their Mongolian Beef but it has also changed. He said the seasoning was just really off from what it used to be, and there was a grainy texture to the sauce and meat from too much dry seasoning powder being added. We've noticed unappealing changes to other dishes as well and the overall quality of the ingredients also seems to have gone down. I don't know if this is due to a change in ownership, management, kitchen staff, or something else, but we won't be back. I'm super bummed to be writing this and I wish they would change the food back!!!

I've been gone for a month and came back to my favorite place,.....but what's up with your fried rice. It has a different taste, can not figure out the spice. I don't like it. Go back to the original flavor.

Food poisoning! Don’t do it! Me, two of my children and wife all began severally vomiting within one to two hours of eating from here. Shame to because we have eaten here in the past and had no issues.
