Cody's Original Roadhouse - Port Charlotte

Bartender Christopher was amazing and very attentive.

We have decided that Cody's is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. It's a good atmosphere without the ear-blasting music. The only reason I subtracted a star is because of the waitstaff loudly clapping for someone's birthday. There went everyone else's peaceful dinner. The ribs were great, as well as the sides. The only reason that I deducted a star for food is the substandard salad, which is head lettuce and no greens. Add a few greens, and everything would be great. Service is always above average.

We just had takeout and everything was absolutely delicious! From the first bite to the last, you could taste the care and quality in every dish. The flavors were awesome the portions generous, and everything was still hot and fresh when we got it. You can tell this place takes pride in what they serve. It was honestly one of the best meals we’ve had since moving here, and we’ll definitely be back — next time we’re dining in! Highly recommend!

Very difficult to find if you don't know where it is.. it's actually near an entrance to the mall.

We have started going to Cody’s again on a regular basis. Couldn’t be more pleased with selections, specials, and service. 2 for 1’s every day till 7p and all day “at the bar.” My husband loves the chicken fried chicken and I like the chicken quesadillas. Delish! Can’t beat the endless salad and the rolls with cinnamon butter to boot. Brenda was our server. Great job! I have also enjoyed the garlic shrimps and today we tried the buffalo shrimps appetizer. Loved it. See you soon.

We just had the Sunday special at Cody‘s in the Port Charlotte town mall. Our server was G and he was excellent. Food was good as always, we will definitely be back. Hope we get G again the next time!

As locals this is one of our go-to places and have never been disappointed, especially if "G" is there. He's super attentive to the customers, very personable, and just a joy to be around. He is the epitome of excellence service. Will definitely go back again..... and again...... and again ?

Me and my husband visited this location and atmosphere was good. Food was delicious and our server Pulkit was excellent. I loved their Salad and chocolate cake too. Will be back soon.

Husband and daughter got food poisoning from eating cheese fries with ranch at this location

We went for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy at all. Service was friendly and attentive. Steaks were cooked to the right temperature, and everything tasted good. Liked the sweet tea too! Crayons were provided for our daughter which seems to be rare these days so that was nice. We’ll be back!

Went on a weekday. Not a great experience at all. Fajitas had sticks in them and the appetizers tasted freezer burned. Service was great though but not good enough to go back.

Stood there 20 minutes, open tables and seated others behind us. Never go back.

I don't like being a "Karen" but this is one time I can not let it slide. If I could give them zero stars I would. We had the most awful experience I have ever had at any restaurant. First off - it was empty (which should have been my 1st red flag but I let it slide as it was a weekday) The waitress must have walked past us a dozen times before taking our order - after she finally took our order she came back with drinks and salad - the lettuce was brown like week old lettuce you forget to throw out in your fridge. The tomatoes were soft and mushy- I wouldn't serve a salad like that in my home!! Then our food came out - I ordered their Chicken Fajitas - the chicken was so overcooked and dried out, and the peppers were unrecognizable - my son ordered fried fish that was so tough he couldn't even chew it. I should have listened to my son and walked out right then and there - but instead, the manager came out (he looked like some 20 y/o kid) my son just reamed him for how horrible everything was - he brings out another fish for my son which was no better - at that point we were just done - I paid and we left - Will NEVER recommend or go there again!! and to End all - I had food poisoning all day today from that food!!

We go here all the time with family and friends. Always great food, great service and fun atmosphere! Staff is very friendly prices are very reasonable.
We always get welcomed and seated right away.
