We had a fabulous dinner tonight at Prime Serious Steak in Port Charlotte. The food was excellent as always and the service impeccable. The manager was very friendly and the experience was great. I encourage you to check it out asap.
We decided to try Prime Serious Steak, and honestly, it was just okay. The atmosphere was nice enough — a little dark, trying for that upscale vibe — but it felt a bit dated. Service was nice enough, but the food was not worth the hype. The steaks were cooked close to what we ordered, but for the price, I expected more flavor. Sides were fine, nothing memorable. The baked potatoes were okay, but the hassleback potatoes were kind of bland. Overall, it was just ok, not quite...
I had a great experience here! I had a seasonal bourbon drink “Cozy Buffalo” which had bourbon, apple cider, lemon juice, autumn spice syrup, and a cinnamon stick - it was so good and great for the fall vibes. The popovers were incredible and the best I’ve ever had (especially loved them with the cinnamon butter). Then I had the double boned bacon wrapped pork chop with bourbon glaze. It was amazing, the bourbon glaze made it! My mom had the ribeye which she also loved....
