it pains me to only give a 4. Sonny's is one of the staple places I go. I always order the sampler as I did this past visit. I asked for the marbled brisket, then I was told they were out of brisket. So I asked to double up on the ribs and I was told she couldn't do that?? I was told I could have extra chicken or pulled or sliced pork. Whatever it was still good, the Sonny's amber were two for one and I fed the family and the kids had ice cream all for $40. Hard...
The last 4 times we went they we're out of corn and or tater tots.. Last night we waited 55 minutes for our food and was given plastic utensils.. If it had been crowded I would have understood but it's at 50 percent capacity.. Probably won't go back which is a shame because we go for BBQ aboue once a week..
Food was good as always, but, it took forever to get it from the kitchen. **What's up with that** I had a sandwich with fries and my wife had loaded tots. I'm thinking they were waiting for the potato's to grow? Only taking away one star for slowness. The wait staff were nice and this restaurant is generally a good place to eat--(the food usually comes out quickly).
