Beer ? was nice and cold. Service was terrific. Schnitzel was good, not as tender as I'm used to, but still good.

Stay away from this place!! Fake candles, blaring music, place was empty. I knew I was in trouble when I heard the microwave beep and door slam. Entrees were child's portion, room temp and tasteless. Go to Cibo, Citrolas, Saucy Meatballs, anywhere but here.

Schnitzel was overcooked, and my husband's had mushrooms and gravy and had a strange taste. Was told the apple streudel was imported from Germany. I guess they microwave it to defrost it and heat it up, not worth ordering.

Transporting you straight to the heart of Germany, the restaurant's mouthwatering sausages, pretzels, and schnitzel deliver an unforgettable culinary journey. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the friendly staff, adds an extra touch of authenticity to this hidden gem.

I'd rate this restaurant as zeros stars ifI could. My friends and I dined at A Taste of Europe Bistro on 41 N. in Port Charlotte today for lunch. We ordered salads and water, nothing else, and were surprised to see a $75 bill, with $3.50 per bottle of water. We tipped well. While it was pricey, what truly disappointed us was the disgusting and offensive treatment that we received from the restaurant owner. At one point, the place was empty for about 45 minutes. Suddenly, the owner approached our table with a seriously aggressive demeanor, asking us to lower our voices for the sake of other guests. She told us that she had listened to us enough over two hours. One of my friends, a native Spanish speaker, quietly expressed her surprise with "aye aye aye," but the woman proceeded to mock her. As she walked away, she imitated "aye aye aye," which came across as racist. Were we slightly loud? Perhaps, as we hadn't seen each other in a long time. Were we disruptive? Certainly not. Were we warned or asked to keep it down more than once? No. This was the most impolite encounter I've had in a restaurant. Furthermore, the $17 salad was not impressive, and the restaurant had a persistent fryer odor. It's no wonder they had very few customers throughout the day.

The owner (a lady) was very disrespectful and just very rude a bad person in general, very meanly asked us to quite because she was tired of listening to our conversation for two hours, racist because she heard me talk Spanish and mocked me after I said something, I will never go to that place, I can not believe people can be this rude and nasty, thats why you never see cars parked in front of her cafe. My friends and I only ordered three salads no drinks only water and we paid 80$. Is really not worthy to go and try to spend a good time sitting in a cafe where you are supposed to chat with your friends, we were shocked we could not even say anything back to her we just left.Horrible experience

I have never experienced the racism and bigotry in my life. The owner came out and told us to lower our voices because we had an accent! Unbelievable! We were speaking English but yes it’s my second language! She threw us out because of it. Horrible!
