Went to Argentos today for our favorite lasagna. Very little meat, almost no mozzarella cheese. After “shrinking” in the past few months, it was even smaller today and the price has gone up. Not happy about this.
My husband and I happened to be in the neighborhood, and decided to make a quick stop in for a couple cookies for the drive home. The rainbow cookies, and chocolate dip sprinkle raspberry cookies were so fresh, soft and delicious. I also got two raspberry rugelach cookies to try, but I felt they were just a tad dry and hard. But the flavor was there. My only regret was not taking more of the rainbow cookies and chocolate dip sprinkle raspberry cookies home. Their cannolis looked...
Ordered the pasta fagioli soup. Soup was hot but not well made. Broth consisted of the liquid from the can of beans. Hardly any vegetables other than beans and no fresh herbs. Should be a hearty tomato based soup. Shrimp parmigiana were good! Bakery items always good. Bussers observed hiding in side stations and eating very unprofessional. Server very personable.
