We visited the price for two people was just astonishing we used to live there and the prices were never that far a range as they are the last time we were there $91 for two people for two small plates seafood

Love this place but we are very disappointed in the switch of where the band plays. If you want to sit up close to enjoy the band you are interrupted by people walking past to use the rest rooms. The band also has to endure the sun beating down ! Not sure what was wrong with the old set up with the music near the entrance! The menu could also use a revision! Sure do miss the lobster quesadillas!

The couldn't here the band at all paid for a bucket of beers for the band and still couldn't hear them and we weren't away from them new owners what a joke we go there at least 4 times a year what a huge disappointment

Had dinner at rum river this evening. Amber was our server. I cannot say enough good things about her. She brought my brother in law a pillow to sit on. And she watched as they are elderly ad came over to cut up his dinner. She is the BEST.

These people charged us $300 to give three of our party of six food poisoning. Stay away from the smoked salmon dip.

Sunday evening, I took my niece, two daughters, son-in-law, and granddaughter for family get-together dinner. Even though the place was not busy, it was understaffed and we had to wait quite a while to get our orders, but it's a nice location, and the drinks were good, so we didn't mind a whole lot. It gave us plenty of time to socialize and catch up. We ordered three appetizers, the grouper fingers which were spongy and gross, the Cobia bites, and the fish dip. I ordered the flounder fish and chips which were soggy, and definitely not deep fried. We had our meal when we left.

At 4:00 a.m. I woke up with an urgent need for a trip to the bathroom. After that, I couldn't go back to sleep because I was feeling a little nausea. About 6:00 a.m., the time I usually get up for work, the vomiting started and what came up was undigested flakes of flounder. After 6 hours of continuous gut-renching nausea with intermittent vomiting, I called the restaurant a little after noon to inform them of the problem. After a second phone call, the general manager called me back, and he was absolutely incredulous that The Flounder was soggy, he said that they had served 40 of those on Sunday with no problems, but if someone from another party had a similar issue he'd let me know.

About two o'clock, my daughter called the check on me because she had to go pick my granddaughter up from school because she was very ill, nauseous, and vomiting. About 3:00, my other daughter called to check on me because her husband called out from work with the same problem.

Never get the fish on sunday, even at an overly pricey seafood restaurant with good drinks.

Our server was great considering the circumstances he's was in. He was the only server/bartender in the whole restaurant on a Sunday! He did his best considering everything so nothing against him.

However, the appetizers took 30-40 minutes to come out and the food also took forever to come out. We were there for 2 hours and only spent about 30 minutes of that eating. Again, not the servers fault.

I definitely don't recommend the Fish n chips either. My dad got that last night and has been puking his brains out with food poisoning since.

We appreciate the servers hard work in trying to make this a good experience for us, but unfortunately we will not be coming back. Everything was good enough until the food poisoning.
