The food was outstanding—authentic, rich, and full of soul. I ordered the griot, which was perfectly seasoned and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of crunch. The pikliz added a spicy, tangy kick that tied everything together. I also tried the diri ak djon djon, and it was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted—earthy, aromatic, and absolutely delicious.
I have frequented the restaurant in the past without incidents. Tonight was different, however. After waiting close to an hour for my order, I watched as the counter person handed over other orders that were placed well after mine. I stood by and watched without saying a word. A patron who was watching the whole scene advocated on my behalf. I thanked him and watched as he left with his order.
The counter person finally decided to service me and what she did was nothing shy...
The food was ok no bad but not the best either for the price I paid I was expecting more and when I say more not the portions, but the quality in the seasoning of the food, I have had many Haitian food restaurants although this is not my heritage, this one was not one of the top tier of tasty but on a hungry day I might go back!
If I like food, I usually go back the next day because I am a foodie and I love good tasting food. I’m not saying I will not return...
