Food was not awful, but received very small portions for the price and menu item! Being a dinner combo I received half the amount of food as all other local Chinese takeout for a dinner combo! They stuffed my rice in a small container with the main protein item resulting in grease on half my rice while trying to save them containers instead of plating my rice separate! Employees cross contaminating cooking and checking out customers, wearing same gloves! Need to upgrade they're 2007 card system... Signing a small receipt paper with a dirty pen for paying with a credit card! Was told over the phone cannot pay for food over the phone!

I don’t know how anyone could compare this to NY Chinese food! I don’t know what part of NY you are comparing it to but as a native New Yorker, I can tell you this is not even close! I ordered pork fried rice that had a few tiny specs of pork in it! It tasted nothing like pork or fried rice. I also ordered Shrimp w/Lobster Sauce that had medium size shrimp and fake fish or crab stick chunks in it, which I picked out! I have never…EVER seen or eaten that! ?
Again, I ate it, it was edible. That’s the best I can do! I ordered here based on the reviews…but I was not impressed!

Personally, I don’t need overwhelming hospitality when I’m ordering fast food, as long as it’s worth the $. China star has been my go-to Chinese food spot for 3 years and they never disappoint. They are great at what they do. I’ve tried other spots and I’m always left feeling unsatisfied. Thank you China Star chefs and staff, for always providing a delicious meal each time I order!

To be honest I ordered the Dumplings and when I got them they smelled horribly and tasted horrible ?? . It just felt store bought and microwaved I was expecting more as I ordered here before. I also saw store bought chicken nuggets. I'm very disappointed ?.
