Service was horrible… walked in with my husband and 3 kids, the gentleman at the cash register didn’t even acknowledge us nor look up at us. No greeting no welcoming spirit. Definitely never going back. Who wanted to buy a sweet treat with a grump? My husband said thank you and he said absolutely nothing. Please do better…

Their donuts are fresh and delicious. The prices are ok but worth it because they are so enjoyable to eat. I also like that they are open 7 days a week.

I stopped going to get donuts because the quality at the chain restaurants was getting bad. Decided to give this place a try and let me tell you some of the best donuts I’ve had in 20 years, so much more better than the chain places. Places like this remind me to support your local, restaurants and local businesses. The maple bacon doughnut surprise the heck out of me and was so tasty. Would recommend everybody try a little bit of everyone like we did.

I do love getting Dixie Cream Doughnuts (Donuts). There are two spots in St. Lucie County. First and foremost is the original in Ft. Pierce, off of Okeechobee I believe. Secondly, the PSL shop off of Bayshore Boulevard, more near PSL BLVD than any other landmark I can think of which folks would know like the back of their hand. After much confusion and asking several times (three X's probably) it turns out - FOR SURE, HAND DOWN) the two stores are not of one owner or baker or mind, what have you...right?
Well, the OG in Ft. Pierce, is not an eat in place and for good reasons, I can tell you the customer service is awesome or what it needs to be in such a small shop in an, "almost miss it if you blink, plaza". However, it's a bakers bakery, flour here and there no frills, just chills.
(singing) "The chills that you spill up my back keep me filled With satisfaction when we're done, Satisfaction of what's to come. I couldn't ask for another' mmhmm Dee-Lite for those born in the late 70's or early 80's feel me.
Bayshore is good. They make my favorite apple fritter good and big, but the Ft. Pierce store makes it even freakin betta. Dinner Sized apple fritters. Oh, every doughnut is out of town, to use the expression. Totally homemade and a FP staple. Look, they open at 6AM maybe? And, I'm going to use poetic license because it's somewhere along this scenario, but I don't remember for sure. Open at 6am - sell out and locks the doors by 9am. Bayshore doesn't do that! There is so much to be said for food establishments of legend and not many stick around in St. Lucie, or FP in particular.
Take my word, bypass bayshore if it's early and just speak, 'dixie cream, fort pierce - directions' into your smartphone and follow the prompts. You will not be sorry.
in the early to lat 2000;s, I worked at Lawnwood Trauma in the Operating Room. On the Weekend, one sweet nurse would hit up Dixie Cream and she got just enough glazed doughnuts to accommodate staff for the low staff weekends. You literally had to grab one or two and hide them in your locker, otherwise other departments would sneak into our break room...Yes, they knew the score and had us all frantic blaming each other. Ahem, Dunkin D's does NOT create 'The Purge Effect' OKAY!
