I work at a nearby office and I've been trying to like this place for 6 years from back when it was Linda's. The service and renovation are both wonderful, but I don't get the food. The eggs are always overcooked, almost tough. The grits are undercooked and too loose and watery. My biggest complaint is this: I ordered a pecan waffle - the waffle itself was delicious but, the cook just took a handful of whole pecans and put them on top of the waffle....a real pecan waffle has chopped pecans baked inside of the batter. I've ordered three different types of omelets and each time the egg was over cooked and the additions of the veggies/ham, etc. are just scattered on top. A proper omelet has the veggies, meat, etc. cooked into the egg as the egg sets in the pan. Further, using canned chopped green peppers instead of fresh is just bad cooking. As another reviewer stated, the coffee is weak, but it's drinkable. Unhappy that I just wasted $18. Let's be better.

Great food, great coffee, and great service (Ariel was our waitress). Food was tasty and served quickly. Crispy bacon was perfection. Clean restaurant and restroom. Acknowledged and seated upon arrival.

This was my first time here. Service was great, refilled my coffee quickly. The omelet was perfectly cooked. For me the star of the show was the scrapple, possibly the best I've ever had and I've been eating it for as long as I can remember. Edit: Came again 08/25 and had the country fried steak. Highly recommended.

Rise and Grind is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots! The southern modern vibe makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal.

Noah, who many may know from Rick’s, is working magic in the kitchen the food is flavorful, fresh, and crafted with real care. On the floor, the service is just as impressive. Willie, even as the busser, went above and beyond with outstanding customer service. It’s rare to see that kind of effort and genuine kindness, and it made the experience feel even more welcoming.

It was also awesome to see Kristy here from Rick’s, bringing that same friendly energy, and Kate is another fantastic option to connect with always attentive and personable.

Overall, Rise and Grind nails it with delicious food, amazing service, and a warm southern modern atmosphere. Highly recommend!
