I’ve recently been stepping outside of my comfort zone with food (health diagnosis, lifestyle change). I stopped at One World Caribbean about 1-2 months ago. I will say that I’ve tried something different each time and today was my 4th visit. Which is why I’m here on Google… today I ordered the curry goat. This is probably one of the tastiest, most savory dishes I’ve eaten in years - maybe ever. Shortly after my first few bites, I found myself almost wishing I had two mouths so I could fill both of them up and enjoy more! The meat is falling off the bone tender, the vegetables are cooked to perfection and the side salad with the soft cabbage and corn (which is phenomenal on its own); I let that soak up the flavors of the curry goat and let me tell you….. if you haven’t tried this, go get you some!! Just the right amount of savory and spice. I have enjoyed every dish and the patties are on point but they may need to increase their order of goat meat over the next month or so because I’ll be thinking about it until the next time I’m able to get there. Kudos to the chef!! Thank you so much One World!!

The food is very fresh and delicious. Authentic recipes served with a gourmet twist by friendly staff. The cabbage was crisp and cooked perfectly. Excellent seasonings and fluffy, perfectly cooked rice.

This is a nice little hide away for the best in Jamaican cuisine. It's never really busy in here except during lunch sometimes.

The food quality is very good and as authentic as you can get it from a place outside Jamaica ??. My favorite is the steamed fish Jamaican style which is a whole fish, yes, it comes with the head just like on the island loaded with nice crunchy veggies and okra, but call ahead and fish is done to order.

It is very reasonably priced and the serve quite a variety of juices, beers and wine.

I’ve eaten here a few times already and it seems like it’s getting better every time. The most recent dish I tried was the oxtails and it was so tender and the portion was substantial. Cant wait to try something new.

The food is fantastic! One World catered an event that accommodated approximately 130 people. The guest were very pleased with the appetizers and meal. One World is professional, timely, and helpful in ways I didn’t anticipate with the planning and coordination. I recommend their catering, they are worth it.

I had a lovely interaction with the owner who was quite personable and amicable. He was quite confident in his food and since many others recommended it as one of the best in the area, I was excited to try it.I was utterly disappointed.Rice and Peas = blandMixed Vegetables = bland 90% cabbage 10% carrots peas and beans (I doctored it up at home with some garlic salt, sautéed onions and ginger.Brown stew chicken = very sweet. It was so- so in flavor other than the overwhelming sweetness. I disliked my chicken cut up in such small pieces with the bones still attached.Jerk Chicken - a bit dry and entirely too spicy... this might be a win for some of you, but it was an "L" for me.Fried chicken - the best thing I tasted from the establishment - Not great, but surprisingly good.I'm a person of Caribbean descent. I grew up in Brooklyn NY... a melting pot with strong Caribbean influences. My mother cooks well and her mother often won cooking and baking contests. I say that to say, that I've got an idea of what good food should taste like or at least what it shouldn't taste like.Sadly, I'd rather visit a mid-upper end chain restaurant than to patronize most West Indian restaurants. I'm rarely satisfied with my food or service. Ib value the food consistency and the customer service that comes with a great chain.I wish I could've tried the patties, but I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon, especially since it's but very close to my home.I wish them well in the future. Perhaps I just had a new cook or it was an off day. Who knows! I spent too much money on food I mostly didn't eat, to throw it all away again.
