Pastaio Handmade Pasta•Pizza

We had an excellent dinner here. We had the kale Caesar salad and delicious bread to start. I had the short rib with pasta and husband had the rigatoni. We sat at the bar and had excellent service by all but especially from Jake. I just returned from Italy and the food at this restaurant was as good if not better than many meals I had there!

Solid Italian restaurant with tasty food. Visited in the evening, so there was a 30-minute wait. Service was great, and the overall experience was enjoyable.

We get pretty much the same thing every time we eat there. The last two times we got takeout the tiramisu pieces were very small barely a 2-in by 2-in piece whereas before me and my wife could share a good size 3 or 4-in piece when we dined in. This time the pizza bottom, a Roman mushroom with onion on top was completely burnt on the bottom and I had asked for onions, and the onions were put on at the last minute and barely cooked. I should have checked it before I left, oh well, so when I went back they made me a new pizza however the onions were the same just thrown on after the fact, and the tiramisu was maybe 1 in larger than before. The takeout hostess was very nice and apologized profusely and the assistant manager or whatever that guy's title is (maybe another server) just handed me the tiramisu, didn't say a word. It is hard to find consistent quality food where they cook it the same each time. I gave three stars as the food is good when prepared correctly, but when messed up over and over. You kind of lose interest in spending your money there...

Best carbonara I’ve ever eaten. I found this place by chance while going to FAU and I occasionally make the 3 hour trip just to eat the carbonara. I have never been able to find a carbonara as good as the one here. The bread is also wonderful. The place is small but it gives the location a home like feel.

Hunter at Pastaio in Palm City is a gem! From the moment we sat down, his service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—he made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. Now, let’s talk about the cannoli… good heavens. That was hands-down the creamiest, thickest, most delightful cannoli I’ve had this side of the Mississippi. If you’re in the area and craving something unforgettable, do yourself a favor and ask for Hunter—and don’t you dare skip dessert! Ask for girth zaddy 😉

Great service and great food. From the fresh bread and oil to the fresh pasta. Some of the best Italian I've had in Florida.

Pastaio has that cozy feel. Whether your at the bar or at a table you get warm friendly service. The food is delicious!

My husband was served his food and was finished... never received mine. had to flag down our server, she never once checked on us or offered more water. The manager said their printer was broken... but others all around us were served. Manager did remove the item from the bill and apologized. This was our first time there, and unfortunately, the last. Service will make or break the dining experience.

“Pastaio” means “pasta maker” in Italian and this place is well named. Food is delicious and service was outstanding. The only real downside is the place is very small and consequently can be crowded and loud. Not great if you have small children, are in a hurry, or a member of your party is hearing impaired. You won’t be disappointed with your meal!

I placed an order to go and while waiting for it I asked to sit at one of the 9 empty tables outside for 10 minutes and they gave me a hard time. Shame. Definitely won’t ever come back. Not to mention, the sauce on the salmon was way off. Way too much wine in the sauce.
