Side Door has a great selection of beers, but I can say that about many places. What sets them apart is their staff and owner. Matt and Billy are unlike any other brewery staff, and people in general, I’ve ever met. They are so incredibly helpful and friendly. They are truly a customer-focused brewery and you notice it as soon as you walk in. This brewery has such a welcoming atmosphere that you feel like family here. In my taxonomy, there is a spectrum of brew pubs, ranging from "Business Plan" breweries - where recruitment of the brewmaster is almost an afterthought - to "Destination" breweries, where the beer is of a quality to warrant scheduling a layover in a nearby'ish airport for the sole purpose of a side trip to have a pint or two. Looking for a local brewery with amazing beer and a welcoming atmosphere? If so, this is your place! As a self proclaimed beer snob I can confidently say all of the beers are on point, even offering a great selection of guest taps and selections for those non beer drinkers. The new owner/brewer is a great guy, very passionate about what he does and makes you feel like family. So excited to see word spread about the new and improved Side Door!
