South Florida Restaurant and Bar

Stopped by on a drive to Ft. Lauderdale with the family. We all had a very nice, relaxed and delicious meal. The blueberry pancakes were of special note, as was the corned beef hash. Would visit again. Wish more people were there when we dined. Maybe they should have an OPEN sign or a flag out front.

Good place to grab dinner, kill sometime, and have a beer. The crowd was a bit uncanny when I was there, but I wouldn't hold it against them. It could have been a bad night.
The crew that works there, though, they're fantastic. So friendly, professional, and accommodating.
I feel that no matter what you think about my review, this place is run by good people. Support this business, and as they get busier, I can see it getting better and better.

I had the griot, and it was decent, but they don’t give a lot of meat, which is disappointing—especially considering they charge the highest price in the city. Their picklez also need a lot of work. This might be my last time going there

Well they say they open at 10am and pulled on both doors and locked at 10:05 on to the next.

Just tried their burgers, and they were quite good. Will be back, I will probably try the oxtails quite soon, will keep you posted.

Corned beef hash was excellent. Made fresh to order. Service with a smile & owner came out to greet us. Clean & inviting restaurant with red, sparkly tabletops! Love it. We will be back!

One of my favorite meals is the loaded potato omelet with extra onions and mushrooms. It's out of this world. I adore the staff, as they are all family and are just great people at heart.

Not a lot of people which was strange, at first. We were skeptical since it has "bar" in the name but we went in. We tried their breakfast and were very pleased.
The service could be spruced up just a bit but nothing that would deter us from going back and trying something different.
The buffalo omelet was great!

We had the pleasure of visiting South Florida Restaurant and Bar for the first time tonight, and let me just say—it won’t be our last! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and inviting, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing meal.

Now, let’s talk about the food! I wish I had taken photos, but it all looked so good that we couldn’t wait and dove right in. I enjoyed the fresh, made-from-scratch corned beef hash breakfast, which was perfection on a plate. My spouse raved about the homemade buffalo chicken wings, paired with crispy French fries, and our son absolutely loved the fresh chicken tenders and fries.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience—great service, amazing food, and a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

Just stumbled in on this little place while driving in from Houston. The waitresses and all of their staff were excellent. The food was fresh and hot. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth stopping in.
