We went for 4 for $28 special and the short ribs were absolutely delicious! The special comes with a glass of wine, salad, entre, dessert! Outstanding!
Came to 88Keys excited to try it out. We were seated and given menus, then completely ignored. Not a hello, not even water. Servers and staff walked by multiple times and said nothing.
After sitting there for over 15 minutes, we got up and left
and they literally watched us walk out without saying a word. No “sorry,” no “please stay,” not even a fake smile. The energy was dead and the service was worse.
If this is how they treat new guests, I’ll pass. Go somewhere that actually wants your business.
An absolutely fabulous evening! Food & service , shout out to Kevin…EXCEPTIONAL! Pianoman Bob Teesdale was the perfect entertainer for a perfect evening. Look forward to returning again soon!

I had been looking forward to dining at 88 Keys since the completion of their renovation after the last hurricane. However, on my first visit, I decided to stay at the bar and listen to the lively guitar and keyboard entertainment. Fortunately, it was still Happy Hour (4-6), so I ordered the Grey Goose Strawberry Basil cocktail, which took longer than expected. I was not a fan of the taste and of the puree in the drink. The entree was also a disappointment: Shrimp and Grits covered in Marinara Sauce! (Menu described it as Cajun. I describe as Italian!) Grits were lumpy. Dessert was the homemade Key Lime Pie. I fancy myself a gourmand when it comes to this pie but the 88 Keys version was very heavy, almost like eating a block of lime -flavored cream cheese I visit a lot of eateries and write a lot of reviews. This was not the best of experiences. However, I will give them another try...this time in the Dining Room, not the Bar. I also look forward to the piano music .... to those 88 Keys!

Brought our family to breakfast with Santa for.our 1 year old granddaughter. We went with a party of 8 and we were so extremely disappointed. This event took place in their restaurant, not outside or on the roof. We invited our granddaughter's other grandmother and great-grandparwnts to make it an extra sprcial morning. We were embarrassed to say the least. Our waters and coffee/tea were served in paper cups! No creamers or sweetener offered. Items on the buffet were ice cold. Not even the least bit warm. Cold hard pancakes, cold scrambled eggs. Bacon dripping in grease, and the pastries were never refilled so our party of 8 never received any (only 3 pastry were in the dish on the buffet when we arrived). It wasn't as if this was a large event. One table of 4 when we arrived and then we came in, followed by another table of 4. And then a large party of 8 or 10 arrived after us. That's it. What a waste of money and so embarrassed. Last time for us.
Service was excellent, Prime Rib was outstanding

Quaint ambience with live piano bar. Enjoyed my birthday dinner with exquisite delicacies from the menu with impeccable presentation. Excellent customer service, the manager and the server made sure to provide us with what we desired. Highly recommend.

I've been here many times... and I'm a HUGE suppoter of our Punta Gorda restaurants! When walking in the front door.... the hostess Althea is AMAZING. Like she is made for this job and you better take care of that woman because she makes up for A LOT!!!!! Our service from Cheryl (Sheryl?) was incredibly disappointing. The passive aggressiveness and comments she made were incredibly uncomfortable... without going into detail.
And can one order from the Perch 360 menu that was tucked into our menu or not? I specifically asked the hostess about that menu upon seating to which she replied "you can order anything from wherever you want". Cheryl had other instructions.... said that those menus should NOT have been included. I tried to speak twice to her, asking her because I had specifically asked the hostess about this... and she completely and totally ignored both instances, talking over me. We allowed her to finish service, as is. Super disappointing.

Took my mother and wife to their brunch that was $69 a person understanding that at the front I was willing to pay it however the 20% added gratuity that I had no choice about was a little ridiculous as should be my choice, considering the service was not good. I'm guessing they can get away with it it just will be someplace I do not visit again being Foresed gratuit.Regarding the food overall I would say it was probably about 80% there allegedly having fresh turkey and beef on the carving line would have been nice if at least was under a heat lamp so it could be remotely warm.

We dined for our anniversary on 2/17/24, for the first time. It was amazing! The food, service and ambiance were perfect. Chef Jon and Server Mike were top notch and we enjoyed meeting Jon at the end of our meal. We will definitely return!
