I don't leave reviews often, but Dough Bar Restaurant deserves one. It's our go-to spot when we're in the mood for pizza.
On our first visit, there was a big party on the patio, but my partner and I were treated like the only table in the place. Service was smooth, well-paced, and the pizza was fresh and full of flavor.
Our most recent visit sealed the deal again. We sat at the bar and had excellent service from Ang and Reina, with Ari greeting us at the door. Everyone we've encountered here, including the young male host, the chefs, have been kind, helpful, and clearly part of a team that supports each other. That kind of environment shows.
The parmesan fries were perfect, and the pizza was just as good as we remembered. The food is always consistent, and the cooks deserve just as much credit as the front of house. The Hawaiian is my personal favorite. Pineapple on pizza might not be for everyone, but in Punta Gorda, once a pineapple capital, it fits!
Dough Bar delivers every time.

We’ve eaten here before, a few years ago & it was ok. Our meals this time were extremely disappointing. We eat out a lot at nice restaurants but the food here was overpriced & less than even decent. The place was dead on a Friday night…guess that speaks volumes.

We have eaten here a few times and have always left happy & full. Great service! Relaxing atmosphere! Great serving size for the price. The owner is very personable and helpful. Today my daughter and I ordered the chicken Caprese panini with fries to go. It was absolutely fantastic. My husband had the meat lovers pizza the other night & liked it a lot. He usually gets sick from pizza due to the grease. First pizza I’ve seen him eat without being sick after. garlic knots, spaghetti with meatballs were all so fresh & delicious. We will be back for our favorites & to try more.

First and last experience... Took 5-10 mins to be acknowledged and food was very bland. We ordered pasta and a Stromboli, both were horrible and cold. Not worth the price.

My friends ordered this pizza for dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. It was very similar to New York pizza, very delicious! I highly recommend it!

I had the Prosciutto and arugula pizza. It was very good. I’ve ordered here many times. The food is great.
Came in for lunch, the restaurant was empty. The cook/chef/owner sat us because the hostess appeared too busy. Table was sticky, lunch menu lacked variety. I ordered white wine which was served warm- poured by the cook/chef/owner (also took 25 mins to receive our drinks). Pizza was salty and soggy. Definitely disappointed and will not be returning.

Super surprised it was so bad. First I couldn't get the ingredients I asked for and then they baked the wrong pie. I took longer picking it up cuz it should have been thicker 😕 Now it's chewy and cold 🥶 On the bright side...great chicken Parm!!
