This place has great vibes, fantastic espresso/coffee, kava, crushed leaf kratom tea and the best staff ever! 10/10 would recommend you check this place out.

This is a little different type of review, but i felt compelled as a parent, I just want to say thank you to Downtown Kava (DTK) and to Sarah & Ryan for creating such a positive space for everyone but especially young adults in our community.
I personally haven’t been in yet, but my 21-year-old son Ethan and his partner Layton are regulars and absolutely love it. What matters most to me is why they go. DTK gives young people a welcoming, social environment that isn’t centered around alcohol or bar culture and that truly means more than you probably realize.
Providing a safe, inclusive place where young adults can relax, connect, and unwind without pressure to drink is such a gift to this town. Punta Gorda is lucky to have business owners who clearly care about the well-being of the younger generation.
Thank you for offering a healthier alternative and for the impact you’re having on our kids and our community. 💛

Located in the former Punta Gorda rail station, this is a wonderful spot to stop for a coffee or something stronger. It was only 10am so I stuck with coffee.
Nice, dark, comfortable. Lots of seating and power outlets though I found their wifi to be a bit on the slow side. Which was fine for today's use but if you're looking for an alternative office, might not work for you.
The barista wasn't sure what a cortado is but after I explained, she did a pretty valiant effort. Tasty coffee that was more like a flat white. A little strong for this late in the morning but great for sipping while I worked out my next stops.

Such a cozy atmosphere and the drinks are supper yummy. Didn't try anything I didn't like. They do sell some small snacks and the most delicious muffins. Everyone is super nice and helpful if you're unsure what to get.

Lovely place in Punta Gorda to chill. They had books, awesome air conditioning and the transformed train station also doubles into a museum. Drink prices were kind of high 10 to 12$ just for a chai latte.. but for the environment it was cool. Out door seating for dogs as well!

The staff is wonderful. They are all very welcoming and polite. Sarah and Ryan (the owners) are amazing humans with such kind hearts. I’ve tried almost every drink on the menu and have never been disappointed. Downtown Kava has helped me A LOT throughout my recovery due to being a safe and sober environment. I have met and made wonderful friends hanging out here. DTK has honestly become my second home and I recommend this place for everyone!

Really cool place. Staff is very friendly, its also super big with PLENTY of places to sit and enjoy their tasty beverages. The one critique is the driveway that needs to be addressed. There a giant crater that is only getting worse by the day. My car is small is getting very close to having trouble even getting in this place. Smooth that over and we'll be back to full on aces here!

My husband and I live in Cape Coral, but make the drive on Friday nights to enjoy our weekly outing for Kratom. The employees are incredibly friendly. You will notice that you will even see them there when they are not working just hanging out. The owner is very personable and just overall seems like a good person and most likely an even better boss.
