What an amazing place, it’s so welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. It has a great vibe, and the coffee is great! No wonder they’ve been voted the best of Florida!!! Down here for a soccer tournament, and happy we have to stay another day just so we can come and grab some great coffee tomorrow. Highly recommend this hidden gem!!!

Stopped in here to grab some shells with a friend on our way back St Pete after a show. Crystal & the other kavatender (didn’t get her name) were super nice and welcoming. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was so cool!
The building is a historical site that’s federally protected and very well preserved. I was a bit taken aback when I went to the bathroom and saw door labels that reflected the south’s segregated past, and upon asking Crystal, she explained that because it’s a protected historical site — they’re not allowed to change it! That was a little wild, but beyond the control of the owners of the kava bar who just rent the space.
If you’re looking for a place with yummy kava and coffee to either socialize or work on your laptop, this is it. I definitely recommend popping in for a visit!

Really cool, relaxed place for coffee and Kava. It’s a nice place to hang out inside or outside. You pay for it though with quite high prices, but it’s worth it if you’re enjoying the old train station setting of it’s location.

Lang is probably the best kavatender in the State of Florida and possible even the United States. This guy can whip up any drink you ask for in a timely and efficient manner. Lang has the ability to vibe and converse with all walks of life while maintaining professionalism at all times. His knowledge and expertise of the product and kava/kratom is unparalleled and he keeps the customers coming back for more!! Lang is a super star! Lang is always there to help his coworkers and us customers notice! When lines get long, Lang springs into action to ensure everyone gets their order in a expedited time. Out of all the great things DTK has to offer, Lang has to be number 1!!

I am new to downtown Kava But I started to come here because Krista had talked so highly about the establishment, the owners and the overall vibe. She was spot on and continues to be my favorite bartender making every experience I’ve had very enjoyable. She’s very knowledgeable and the establishment overall is just so fun and continuously has great entertainment good people and the best coffee in Punta Gorda.

I absolutely LOVE DTK, & the atmosphere they bring to the downtown PG community!! It’s my favorite place to unwind, in a way I can relax & not worry about the hangover as the usual bar scene offers. I’m a college student, & it is such a calm, quiet place to study & do homework when i need a change of scenery from my normal home office. And of course, KRISTA is the absolute best. Super knowledgable on the different drinks & mocktails made there, as well as super welcoming and a great asset to the DTK lifestyle. I have never had an issue with any other kavatender there, but I have to shout out my girl Krista, she always makes me feel so welcome. Don’t ever lose her, she is the literal best. Don’t miss out on a great atmosphere, great drinks, & an overall great vibe from this place!!
