OPA! A Taste of Greece

Located in a shopping plaza off 41, this gem is totally worth the visit. If you are looking for authentic greek food then look no further. They have a great selection of greek grocery items, desserts and other favorites. This is our 2nd time here. The 1st time we got some dessert, olive oil and spanikopita. This time we had to get more spanikopita but also tried the gyros. Wow. They were loaded and delicious. The husband and wife team are awesome. They will take care of you. Give them a call to order in advance or just stop on in and take your pick.

I stopped into Opa in Port Charlotte and had an awesome experience. Paul, the owner, was incredibly personable and welcoming — you can tell he really cares about his customers. I picked up some hummus and honestly, it was out of this world, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. I’ll definitely be going back to try more of the amazing goodies on the menu. Highly recommend Opa if you’re looking for authentic, fresh, and flavorful Greek food in the area!

Gyros were huge and delicious! Paul was very nice and extremely helpful when describing all of the different items they offer. My new go-to for anything Greek! Will definitely be back to try more yummy things!!

Some of the best “takeout” I’ve ever had!!! I got a berry protein smoothie and a chicken gyro, 10/10! Not to mention the portions are huge and items are very reasonably priced so this will feed me for at least 2 days. Everything is delicious, fresh, and the owners are very friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back very soon!

Great owners... such cool people! And their homemade deli-style Greek dishes and pasteries are DELICIOUS.

Gyros were large and delicious. Wife and i referred a couple neighbors to OPA and really enjoyed them as well. Great food including desserts. Highly recommend.

I just checked and I'm surprised that I haven't reviewed this place yet. It's the best gyro in town, period. I just got back to work with my lunch and I swear this is the biggest gyro I've ever eaten in my life. It's a gyro the size of my head. Do I go across 41 for some fast food garbage, or do I spend just about the same at Opa! and get twice the food and 10x the quality? No question.

Always a pleasant experience. Great service. Excellent freshly prepared foods. Great selection of authentic Greek foods and self care items.

Excellent, authentic, big portions, reasonable prices. We had a gyro, Greek salad and chocolate cheese cake with baklava on top with two Greek dinks, a lime drink and a MastiQua lemon aid. Charlotte Harbor north bound next to Mercer's, across the street from McDonalds. Round sign says Opa with the word Greek in very small letters. Two tables, you may consider take-out for a large group. Family run, very nice.
