We drove over 2 hours to find out if their blue crabs were any good. They did not disappoint. I had the all you can eat for $45. I was expecting a lot of smalls but these were all at least mediums. These guys were all packed with meat...HEAVY! They came out steaming hot. Most Florida restaurants boil their crab which I'll eat but are a yucky mess. I did not have a single watery crab! I had asked for crab soup to take home to my son but they had just run out. The server offered to send me home with a bag of crabs (8) for $5. These were wonderful as well and I was able to make him soup loaded with crab meat. For you landlubbers, they do have other options. My husband's burger was very good. I thought the service was great without being over bearing. Our server always magically appeared before or as we needed something. Yes, I will be back and I highly recommend checking them out!!

Peace River Seafood near Punta Gorda. This place is not fancy but it has a wonderful charm to the small house on which it is located. It's small and has some tables inside but most are outside tables. There are a few picnic tables available, some of which will seat a bunch of people. I for one went for the all you can eat steamed crabs as we are from near MD and are use to eating that kind of crab. My wife ordered the shrimp and clams. I will say that all you can eat steamed crabs are the best we have had since moving down here and they actually ask what spice to cook them in JO or old Bay. I ordered mine with extra old bay and they added that to my crabs. I love lots of old bay on my crabs. These crabs I could not tell the difference from MD crabs we use to get back north. My wife's shimp were large and filled half the plate. The clams were a tad small but all were good and tasty. My other friends got the steamed crabs and they loved them as much as I did. The wait staff was very friendly and we even met one of the owners which stated the crabs came right out of Charlotte Harbor that very morning. This place specializes in steamed crabs and that's what they do best. Make sure you get yourself some. This place is not open Sundays or Mondays. They had all you can eat medium steamed crabs for 45.00 on Wednesdays but depending on how many they catch they will offer it on other days. One thing I will add when we went to check out they said we could buy a dozen for 5.00 to go. I took them up on that offer and made crab soup the following day.
All in all it was a joy to visit this place. Like Arnold stated, I'll be back!
