We came for a birthday and the food was fantastic! The blackened mahi mahi was delicious. Definitely start with the peel and eat shrimp. Callie (sp) our server was very friendly. Make sure to leave room for the orange cake dessert, it's soft and dreamy. You will regret not getting it. Make sure, too, if you bring the kids, save the peels from the shrimp to feed the fish out on the docks.

The older, male bartender at the outside bar was the rudest person in the food industry I have ever met. He wouldn't take our food order (1 appetizer) because the kitchen was backed up. He said to me "obviously you have never worked in the food industry" when I told him that it would be fine if it takes longer than normal. I watched him berate other customers behind their backs, make snide remarks, and completely ignore guests. This guy is in the wrong industry. We won't ever be back. A shame because the location is really nice.

Good food, parking is ok, but when it gets busy parking tight. Pricing is ok. location is a little weird, off the beaten path, but it's on the river which is cool. This place gets busy..

Went out of our way to come here and the entire place is closed for a private event from 11am-2pm on Saturday, Dec 28. Online there is no mention of the closure, which should be on the home page. It currently says, “Special Announcements None at this time.”

Sometimes there just aren’t enough stars! I boated over from Port Charlotte with a load of visitors from up north. The Riviera Bar and Grill did not disappoint! Excellent service by Joan despite being slammed. Great crew from the hostess to the bar staff to the chef and kitchen staff. Great “old Florida” joint!
